Batman, can you remember, or is it written on the invoice, which matress it came with? ie sealy, sleepeasy etc. Its just something else that can be googled. It maybe that the bed model is still being sold (by dreams or elsewhere) but its being called something different.0

Get a print out of that screen batman, look at the top of the page, it said it was cached from the dreams website and that the bed was still for sale on 10th December (I think it was that date).0

checked out "tarragon bed" on google shopping and it came up with this:
google.co.uk/products?q=tarragon+bed&hl=en&aq=f (sorry, can't post links..)
£1,449 .. it reads "tarragon adjustable bed" but when i try to go to the page, it says it doesn't exist anymore..0 -

It's on here for £1499, but again, the item is no longer there when you click on the link.0 -

However, I guess that whatever the order form says is pretty irrelevant, as the OP wouldn't have bene expected to necessarily know what the model was called, or indeed what features the "Tarragon" bed had. As far as she was concerned, she ordered a bed that did certain things and the assistant ordered it for her.0 -

I understand what you are saying and the salesman should have ordered what they hd agreed, or he should have explained it would be extra to have all the features the demo model had, but how can the OP prove what the salesman said, or what they discussed or verbally agreed?
Ther best bet is to get as much evidence as they can, like the screen shots with prices, to try and demonstrate that what they delivered was a plain old tarragon, where as they ordered and paid for a tarragon plus.
It sometimes comes down to technicalities, it may even come down to the word 'plus' on the invoice, as that could indicate additional features. If the OP can show that she has the version without the plus, she may have a case.0 -
Thanks for your advice - we will do everything suggesed.
We have been emailing and calling the CEO's office but they seem to be trying to ignore us, but we're just going to have to pester them:rotfl:because we really cannot believe that this has happened!!!0 -
What date did you buy the bed and do you remember how much the basic model was on sale for at that time?
I ask this because I would be tempted (for the sake of the £30 it is going to cost) to send them a letter with a copy of the invoice and the screen shot with the price, that says 'Dear Sirs, I ordered the Tarragon Plus and your company have delivered the basic model, Tarragon, instead. To date, your company refuses to deal with and rectify this issue. your Head Office will neither speak to me on the telphone or answer my emails. If I do not receive either WRITTEN notice that delivery of the Taragon Plus, with features promised by the salesman-
, will be forthcoming or a refund of the difference between the price I paid and the advertised price of the bed (enclose the screen shot that says bed was £549) within 14 days, then I will have no alternative but to make a claim for the difference in the small claims court.'
And watch them ignore you then!! Send the letter by
It will cost £30 to file the claim and you can do it online and then you send your paperwork off when the court papers arrive - call their bluff.
At the end of the day, it will then be down to the judge to decide whether they have screwed you over. Don't be scared or intimidated by it. Should be easy enough to do.0 -

Wasnt too long agoWe've tried to get a brochure but apparently they are all sent back to HO, we have no other information about the order.
We only ordered this bed at the end of October 2010 and it was delivered on the 24th Nov 2010. But when we ordered there was no mention that they were discontinuing the bed."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Hi,
We have finally had sense from Dreams. They have agreed to send the two massage units with wireless handsets (confirmed by Email and due for delivery next weekend). We have spoken with one of the directors who appeared very concerned at the treatment my mother had received.
So she should finally be able to use the Bed. :T
Thanks for all the advice
Excellent outcome in the end!:j0
