Friend has been located. Garden party must now be attended (not relishing that, 50+ 80 year olds - including Mr C Senior) maybe that is why I am still sitting here putting off sorting clothes to take and packing. At least I get to stay at my friends (ex MIL) and to bring Moo along with me so I just have to think only a couple of hours of endurance testing tomorrow evening. Who has a garden party starting at 4pm? Hmmm maybe I am getting old but I would have thought garden parties were for the afternoon not the evening.
Lets see what else I can do to put off the packing.

Good grief Cheri - how rude! You wouldn't have been there at that time if the computer had worked an hour and a half ago! And anyway - surely it is the fault of the bank for not having enough staff?? Or nobodys fault at all?! When on earth IS a good time to do complicated transactions - there's always going to be someone else behind you in the queue!

And gosh - that garden party! :rotfl: I can just imagine 50 80 year olds :rotfl: I bet you'll have a lovely time (although I can see why you're putting off packing! :rotfl:)

Nothing to add to what Cheery said - she expressed it perfectly :)

You're taking Moo, so you have an escape route .... "Moo needs a walk", I can hear it now :)

I know Cheery I was quite embarrassed. I had rung and spoken to the Bank Manager and he had said the same, it was a complicated transaction, he didnt have many staff so it didnt matter what time of the day I went somebody would have to wait and it was his problem not mine. He was on the desk dealing with a customer next to me when the lady was rude. He turned around and said to me "You said that would happen"!

Completely rude and unforgivable behaviour from that woman Cheri - you should have turned round, looked her in the eye, and said "Would you mind not being so rude, please" before turning back to what you were doing. Everyone else would have howled with laughter I suspect and she would have been left feeling about an inch tall, which is no bad thing.

Yay to temporary wealth and smart quotes about it! :T

And hurrah to dogs giving you an escape route - dogs are far better in that scenario than cats, I fear. (And in most other situations if I'm honest, but don't go telling HRH The Cat I think that for goodness sake!)

  • I did wave as we came into Wales today! And at that point I had a nice bank balance, but on the way home I paid for and picked up the truck, so now its back to normal .

Oh dear Me, I am afraid that you will have been waving to yourself, I was not too far from Liverpool yesterday.
Nic, made me giggle too thanks.

I have a confession to make............ all that talk of bags and accessories was a bad influence on me. Yesterday I went to TK Maxx in Speke and I admit that I was a bad girl. I bought a bag and a pair of sunglasses. £50 that I really did not have in my current account so I have just been into my emergency fund and transferred it across to the current account. Well it was an emergency in that I didnt have enough in the account and I REALLY needed a pair of sunglasses. Its not my fault that the bag jumped onto my shoulder to the tills. :)

Right I should be working so I am being strict with myself and will do catch up on the computer stuff tonight. If anybody sees my light on then chase me off with big sticks.

These bags really do have lives of their own, don't they :)

I went to a TK Maxx on the south coast, and it was horrible - but the one in Southport I went to last month was *gorgeous* - not surprised you went to Speke :)

Half an hour since your post ... your light's still on, tsk!
