How annoying about that £600! You've got your eye on it, at least....

Radley .... they make things from recycled materials? omg ..... I think I may faint. Luckily for me, I have to go get my room ready again, that'll perk me up :D

    Indeed they do KC
And here is the link - mine is no longer there, it is turquoise with big colourful daises. I absolutely love it. Fits into my handbag and I carry it everywhere with me. When it comes out of the little pouch that can be used as a purse that is attached to the inside of the bag.

I would love a radley bag - as they have a peedie on them :) alas I've never needed a bag nor do I own or would use a handbag - but I have often looked covetiously (sp?) at the passport holder and purses - I'd use a passport holder (although an utter luxury) and perhaps a purse - or if they did a rucksack :)

They remind me of here (all the beachy themes) and peedie :)

Nice chat on here except the £600 poor you cheri!

I never used to have a bag Pippi until I found my indulgent one. Now I look for things to put into it. Indeed the passport cover is lovely but I would never buy myself a radley anything due to the prices.

Pah to unexpected bills, pah! :(

I *do* wear make up cheri, most of the time - it's just very minimal and hardly noticeable (you might ask why I bother - but t's in case someone comes out with the 'your face looks grubby' comment... :o). I just don't wear huge amounts of multi coloured eye shadow etc :p which sometimes I'd like to :D I'm working on it :p

I spent years with nowt but a rucksack, now always have a handbag (and usually some kind of tote bag too - or two!). Strangely, Mr Daffs once said I was the first girl I'd been out with who had a handbag! :rotfl: shocked me completely - because I never think of myself as the sort of person who carries a handbag :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

(this one is just a small shoulder slouchy thing from the market, nowt flash!)

Hi Cheri, have you decided about the card? The questions to ask would be: what is the interest, how long would it take to pay off, what is the total interest I am to pay. If the number is well over £30 than the answer is yes, it is worth it. Except if there are emotions attached.

Bags! Now you are talking - I love them and used to buy them irrespective of price. Now I don't because I have enough. Cheri, remember you are worth it and have a fund for it? You may be able to collect enough to get a bag you really want without feeling guilty about the price.

  • My bag was from a discount outlet shop that sells Radleys, they really are lovely, especially the laptop bags. I really liked one of the soft pastel coloured bags but even discounted it was £129. But then Dh saw the red one and I fell in love, my friend went in later to try and get one but they had all gone.

I found my tinted moisturiser - in a spare handbag of all places - I really need to declutter :o.

With regards to the card, as FW says, check out the interest that is going to be charged and see if it is more than the £600. Is there anything else you are going to be needing that you can take advantage of with the 0%? If there are, is it worth doing the transfer to get the deal before it finishes?

Cheery, I am the same - always minimal makeup but used to wear three different eyeshadows at once (well it was the 80s) and sometimes think I should get back to putting more on. I do feel like mutton dressed as lamb sometimes though.

FW - yes I have worked all of the interest out etc. It would indeed work out a lot cheaper but you are right. It is my pedantic side thinking that if I move it am I justifying putting it off.

ME. Yep, I did think about using the offer to take advantage of things that I need. So I may use one to pay for the last bits for my trip to Austria and then do the balance transfer, that way I can reinstate my emergency funds.

Gosh its hard work all this finance stuff. I am interested in stoozing and was wondering if I did a cash transfer on one card to my savings then balance transferred from the other to end up with 0%. Is that stoozing? I guess as FW says I will need to check how much interest I will make and ensure that I actually earn more interest than I pay in the 5% fee (I am guessing not)

Loving all this talk about the 'essential' but expensive spends. I've never really 'got' Radley, probably because I get anti things when everyone talks about them. Don't want to be seen to follow the pack. For work, I have a lovely Kipling bag, really lightweight, holds loads of papers, lots of pockets etc. and my favourite little bag is this which is like a little Tardis, I have it in an aqua blue, and a grey.

I usually do tinted moisturiser for everyday, and only do proper foundation if I go out as it makes my skin feel clogged up.

Now that I'm back in Liverpool 2 days a week I'll look into having my hair cut by students again.

Cheri, with interest rates as they are, I don't think you'll be able to make 5% return to offset the fee.

I like the Kipling bag! I've never had a Radley either, Gill - frankly, I never even heard of them before I came onto mse :rotfl: I wonder what that says, about mse and about me!
