Looking good cherisong, hope you're plodding nicely through your list! :T0

Phew! plodding is definitely the right word Daffs. I have had a strange old weekend. Mr C is North again. I was feeling quite out of sorts yesterday so things didn't really get done. Still not 100% today but a few more things done. I was feeling as if I hadnt done anything until I looked at my list and ticked more things off. I have done more than this as I have been sidetracked with several things as I went along. Not sorted out my desk for work yet but as I also have tomorrow off then I will aim to spend an hour on that then. I am working away 2 days this week in Swansea. Well I will be travelling both days as I much prefer to come home to my own bed but I hope that I start to pick up before then because this exhausted feeling is wiping me out. Good news I have a hire car and can use the works account to fill it up and I can also claim expenses for lunches etc so no need to budget anything for that.
Plans for the week consist of
Tuesday
- Take several recycling bags to the tip along with several very old tins of paint
- Collect a special delivery parcel from the post office (no idea what that is)
- Ahem: write to police to ask how I have been charged with speeding (35 in a 30 mile zone) in a hire car that I didnt have on that day and in an area that I was nowhere near. Hmm me thinks that the hire company have mixed me up
- Head to Lidl for a massive storecupboard stock up
- have a potter around the charity shops.
Wednesday
- Work for 8 hours
- research what is available to do for free in my home town in the next month
- write my letter of the week
- relax
Thursday
- work for 8 hours
- work out the route to Swansea on Friday and Saturday and plan travel times
- try on new uniform for a very important event next week - hope it fits when it arrives
- early night
Friday and Saturday
- Travel 2 hours (both days) and then do an 8 hour shift then travel back 2 hours (Daffs does this often so no moaning Cherisong!!!)

How frustrating about the speeding ticket Cheri!
And you feel free to moan about the travelling- I often do
(while also realising how lucky I am!). And I bet yours is all in the car - I certainly wouldn't want to do that - sitting reading on the train is more my style, coupled with a leisurely bike ride down the river, so don't feel you have to compare your commute to mine!

Hope you are feeling a bit better now, could it be anaemia? I read an old magazine only yesterday that my sister gave me and it was about being tired. This was the biggest factor, plus with everything else going on no wonder you are exhausted.
At least the ticket should be pretty quick to sort with the hire companies paperwork! One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Thanks Cheery, I dont really mind the driving,in fact I am lucky that the drive is through lovely countryside. It is more that I only have one day off between two very long days and then 3 very very long days next week. Feeling as tired as I am right now then it feels a bit overwhelming.
Me, I do indeed suffer from anaemia from time to time. Add to that the normal issues we women have to deal with and it all adds up. I feel a little better today after 3 days of rest.
Full storecupboard shopping completed today £37 should last at least 6 weeks on my reckoning (for 2). I just need to top up with vegetables and dairy products now. I have joined the June grocery challenge too so I can have a look at that for ideas. Tonights tea is now different from my meal plan. Was making lentil and carrot spicy soup but accidently left the slow cooker on high, got to it just in time as it was drying out.So I have decided to turn it into a spicy pie. Expect to be cooking in the kitchen tonight. Following planned
- spicy carrot and lentil pie
- broccoli and mushroom bake
- chilli
- sweet potatoe and chickpea curry
- pizza bases for freezing
- apple pie
That should keep us going until Friday. Mr C is in charge on Friday and Saturday so all he needs to do is top the pizzas and make a salad on Friday and then his famous veggie sausage and mash on Saturday YUMSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. De-lurking to say that this was my first thought as I've been there and whenever it crops up again, I don't recognise it until someone suggests it. :embarasse
Also, it's easy to get short of Vitamin B. Again, been there, done that. After #1 DS was born, I was very down and the midwife suggested it. It worked! Trouble is I still don't recognise the signs till I'm in a right little state. I know I'm better when I forget to take the tablets :rotfl::rotfl:
PS. I've 'met you' on other diaries and followed you home. :cool:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Cheri I don't want to be a scaremonger but my best friend is a veggie and she was diagnosed with pernicious anaemia 12 months ago after valiantly struggling to cope with extreme tiredness for months. So please take care.xxNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Cheri, de-lurking to offer this... I had dreadful anaemia quite often in my late 30's-40's until successful gyni intervention in late 40's tackled the cause - major monthly blood loss. One way I recognised that I had to treat the anaemia was breathlessness. It was also quicker to offer to give blood to get diagnosed than waiting for a GP blood test to come back from the labs - the finger !!!!! test indicated low red-cell count.
I'm not saying this to scare you, rather to encourage early investigation of causes.
Loving all your plans.

Hi everyone - i have been reading but don't post too often. Sorry to ask but how do you find out if you have anaemia? I suffer terribly with dizzy spells and extreme tiredness - i do have a thyroid problem but this doesn't account for everything - any advice appreciated
Those recipes all sound delicious to me cheri - any chance of any recipes being posted up? Especially for the sweet potato and chick pea curry

Dedicated - You can ask your Dr for a blood test. They *may* already check this when they check your thyroid level but it is worth asking.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0
