Yep, thats about the gist of it Cheery. Once I have things on an even keel with other stuff I will get onto it. I did just book the guys last year to come and do the fence and Mr C was really pleased with that so I may just book a man and a digger to come in and dig the whole garden over in one afternoon when he is at work. Not much he could do about it then when he comes home :rotfl::rotfl: Then I will just need to level it and get top soil, put some lawn down and maybe put gravel down as a temporary patio area (could be used as the hard core later). I need to take control I think.
Yes very productive and enjoyable day today. When I lived on my own I had a set routine and always enjoyed cleaning days. I have come to realise that I do like routines and I have never really gotten into one since moving here and starting this job. Oh for a 9-5 job.
Right, friend was out so I am going to head up to the park with Moo. The thunder is rolling on over the hills so not sure when the rain will arrive. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
cherisong i posted on your old diary and this one - I have a large and very elderly greyhound.
Hurrah :j for the return of the Tada list - I haven't done one in ages :eek:0 -
Ahh now I am back on track. Seems that a few people have changed their names and I am easily confused. I do like a TADA list.
today will be spend entertaining the Mr and Mrs. Raining here so will have to have a think about what we can do with them. May take them to the museum today (free) and the Arts Centre tomorrow (free exhibitions on there)Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Morning Cheri ! I read that as 'Mr & Mrs Raining ! Hope you have a good weekend and the weather improves.xxNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

:rotfl: well, that is the mood that they bring on. Still one of my quotes is
some people walk in the rain, others just get wet
I will not get wet, I am determined to be up and sunny. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Here is one, not remotely related to the weather but one that I love, especially as I am normally last when I am racing my bike :rotfl:
If you get enough goes at something and you keep going, once you're in there you've always got a chance of winning
This was said by the marvellous AP McCoy when he won the National last year. It is relevant to so many sports but also so much of life as well :T
here's to staying sunny despite the challenges of the weekend! :rotfl:0 -
Cherisong, I've just watched an interesting little video (it's about 20 minutes long) and thought about you - it's about music and passion, and how there's no such thing as being tone deaf
Thought I'd share it with you in case you have a bit of time to yourself and fancy a little something to watch:
music and passion
I came across these talks through my art of living cheerfully course, they're actually quite cheery little things, about all kinds of different subjects, often less than 20 minutes long, and a nice little break in a busy day to sit with some knitting (which is what I've just been doing while watching that one)

Thanks Cheery Daff, I am loving the video
I am from a very classically musical family so will share with my mum (very musical) and my dad (tone deaf....or so we thought haha! :rotfl:)

Oh Cheery, thank you. I had tears streaming down my face during that. Thank you for thinking of me. I do love classical music always have, always will (and now I know that I am not tone deaf too
) I will have to have a look at some more of those talks. Very inspiring and thought provoking.

Oh cherisong, I didn't want to make you cry!
Glad you found it inspiring though. I've just found the link to the one the woman who's running my 'art of living cheerfully' course sent to me, when I said about being too scared to pick up my flute and play with gay abandon...
Evelyn Glennie
Don't know if you've come across this woman before, I hadn't, she's a deaf percussionist, and talks about how to listen with your whole body. Very inspiring.
I must investigate the rest of those talks, so many to choose from!0
