Seems to me that Moo could be a brilliant draw to get people to head over to your stall Cheri. There was a GD at the farmers market on Saturday and he was being made SUCH a fuss over!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I think it will be me on my own or at the best me and Moo.
Nooooooo! You have to take someone with you in case you need to go to the loo (all those flasks etc). I completely overlooked this when I did my first boot sale and had to call my sister to come out and mind my stall while I sprinted off to the portaloos :rotfl:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
You do need someone really, 2 pairs of eyes are better than one for spotting things vanishing off the table, and they're less likely to try if more people are on the stall. Besides the practicalities of loo breaks etc..
Moo being there, means Moo and water bowl etc in the car taking up a lot of space you need for the stuff to sell. If it's really sunny, carboots tend to be in very open settings with no shade, which could be a problem for him too. Also buyers do bring dogs with them to carboots too, and some of them aren't necessarily the best controlled or friendliest dogs. So especially if you've no one with you, will you have time to concentrate on selling.0 -
Cheri,
I don't know where my head has been, but I've only just noticed this diary.
Agree on the car boots, you need 2 people, otherwise you are relying on asking the people on the next stall.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Fingers crossed. They may just be pushing you for a decision and using others to do it.One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Sending positive vibes to you cherisong ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ fingers crossed for some kind of solution, even if it's not exactly the one you're imagining (selling your house). I do hope you get your wish, I''m imagining you in your house in Austria very soon xxx0

Cheri positive Austrian vibes from me too .xxNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Thanks one and all.
Nope Me they are not pushing me into making a decision as they know that I really want it. The Austrian system means that they will not allow me to formally offer until I have all finances in place as the offer alone is a legally binding contract. I need to sell the flat to release all the funds. Spent two days looking at lots of options
There are options there but not sure that I can make them all fall into place in time, added to which I am anal (as I am sure that you have all guessed by now) where money is concerned. I can thank my spendthrift Mum and many a night with no heating, light or food as a child for teaching me how to cling on as much as possible instead of being a risk taker. Had I been a risk taker I would have taken these options to start with and not be in the position I am in now with the possibility of losing a beautiful home (ok so I am already thinking of it as home because I really believe I should be there) thanks to being a wimp. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
