Do I see a possible 2nd career? maybe charge a % of the amount saved with a minimum rate? No overheads as you are working from home.

Oh Pippajo I would love to do that. Not really sure how to go about it though. I also love organising events etc. My long term wish is to run a little chalet in the Austrian/German Alps B&B but also organise itineries for people if they want it. Who knows, maybe one day.

Hello! You snuck this one under the radar - Happy new Diary, and three cheers for Cheery Inspirations! :T

Loving your motivation and forward thinking, and also the way you have set and clearly set out your targets & goals for the year. (Might steal that idea in due course!). In a way you've just found yourself in the same situation we did last year when my job went pear-shaped on me - it's such a shock to start with you find yourself thinking "Oh the heck are we going to manage!" but only then do you realise quite how many fantastic life-skills visiting this forum and associated website has given you. After that you find out ust HOW supportive folks on here are too, although in fairness I think we both already knew that bit!

Well EH we managed for several months last year when his contract ended so I have every faith in myself in being able to cope this year. You are right about opportunities. I am hoping that Mr C sees that being at home doing any kind of work is much better than living away and still having to travel a long way each day.

The great car hunt is a little slow. I have been researching things on the internet. As Mr C is away in the week and only wants to rest when he is home at the weekend and all of the cars I have seen are hours drive again I have been unable to view any this weekend. I need to think of a cunning plan as I have seen three. All within an hours drive of here 2 in one direction and one in the opposite direction. Need to think creatively as to how to get there to see them.

So goals will need to be tweeked already.

Another 2 days no spend day. Well yesterday I spent about half of my monthly budget but that was on my budgeted groceries bill and pet food. So we will not starve for the month. All the bills are accounted for and I do have emergency funds still. As long as nothing comes from left field I should be fine.
In the meantime I have started to do the Taste Radar again, I have done 5 surveys with lightspeed in the last day and 2 crowdology. Mr C looked at the mystery shopping stuff. He thinks he may have a go at that. Also I am trying to convince him to offer dog sitting and walking services, given that I have struggled to find anything I am sure that there is a service like that required in the area. I might just make some posters and put them up in the local shop to see what interest we get as a starter. Will need to get the car sorted first though as he is already driving me potty with his reluctance to let Moo into his beloved car without lots of plastic sheets and covers on everything first.

Been for a lovely long walk around the village and up the hill in the forest today. Mr C has taken himself back to bed for a snooze (having only gotten up at 12!) His excuse is that he just drove over 1600 miles in the last three weeks. As if that is hard work I ask you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OOh Cheri you should join him for some 'afternoon delight' ;)

Hope you find a way of viewing potential new cars - if at a garage wonder if they would pick you up for a test drive ?

How are you feeling now after the accident hun ?

    Take care xx

;)Haha! Ellie you cheeky person. He didnt stay there long so he may have been having the same idea. Came down to me updating a new blog for Moo!! Well a girl has to have something to do.

I did wonder about whether the garage would bring the car to me. I might give them a call tomorrow. One of them is a private sale so I might even be cheeky and try it on with them as well. Well you dont ask you dont get and all that!

Meant to say that date night last night was a success. I had put all of our holiday photos and videos into a powerpoint and I used my work laptop and projector to have a video night, we had german cheese and wine which I had brought home and it was a success at a cost of nothing (other than the wine and cheese which came out of my holiday spends). The night ended watching the whole fireworks display that we went to in Kitzbuhel on New Years day. Best New Years day ever I say.

Hypno, sorry I missed your post on the recipe thing. I love cooking but I am really out of the habit. Also since I am now vegetarian I am always looking for new things to do. I look forward to hearing what you are doing each week too.

Being back at work today has made me realise just how much I need to move my life forward on the career front. I must revisit my career objectives and start working out where I am going with it this year. It will be difficult as I have the stable job in the house and that has always been the story of my life. I need to start thinking differently instead of always thinking safely! If you see what I mean.

Right back to work, just needed to get that off my chest.

Good luck on reviewing your career thoughts, if you need to throw any ideas around I'll be glad to chuck in my thoughts.

I really went back to work last week but today has been the first day I've got my head straight and actually got some proper work done :o. ((((bad girl))))

Thanks Pippa, I think that is my problem today. I cant get my head around things. Also my works computer is refusing to connect to the network so I am fiddling with stuff to try to find where things should be. Hey ho, things can only get better.

I am seriously considering my virtual PA stuff. Just need to work out how to start it up whilst still working so that I can get a base of clients.
