These are Tescos staff we're talking about, not the KGB! :rotfl:
I know what you mean though, just because its a private members forum, doesnt mean you can tell if whoever is signing up works for Tescos!
I'm just gonna leave it a couple of days before I post my finds on here, that way it at least give others a good chance of finding them. As once they are posted they seem to be disappearing a lot quicker.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I went to Tesco in Hindley on Friday, full of enthusiasm after my failed attempt to R&R a mobile at Horwich and guess what? all the mobiles mentioned here had their SELs missing!!! I went to check on another mobile, but the self scanner wasn't working, so i gave in!
I then thought - well i haven't come here for nothing, so i had a look for the chickens that have been mentioned here, as well as other meat - but nothing!!
It took me ages to pluck the courage up to R&R, and now i want to, there's nothing to R&R!!0 -

Or shall I shut up for fear of offending the all the good wholesome people who don't approve ?
Nah !!!! it, dumped my CS tonight, couldn't resist selling her my R&R'ed mobile b4 saying thanks for the shag(s).
On way home popped into an express for a gander, found a very nice checkout girl, who is coming for a curry with me tommorow night in East Dulwich Curry Cabin...you can guess what is for afters.
Any of you guys around that area ? Should be around 8, come in say hello, i'll buy u a popadom

Fair comment Plushchris, picking up some useful deals, but also find some recent posts not going through, so think the Golden Tmight be cottoning on, defo give it a day before posting, to give others a chance.
I am finding I am having to do a lot of returns, as my Self SC, don't work. Can't think why???. I spread these around so they don't all go to the same store. There are so many different CS in my locals, at least 5 that I have seen on rotation, there is very little chance of them noticing my repeat excursions. If you can cancel at till even better there hundreds of those...:DI had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -

I had to do that last week after some eagle-eyed till operator spotted my mispriced books  (No-one particularly young/inexperienced or bored-looking on the tills that day  ) The only trouble is she had to call a supervisor to take the items off. Felt like the whole queue was watching me0 -

i posted mymobile R & r failure a couple of days ago, and as suggested I called Cs. No joy, So I called HO, and they told me to call the store back. I did and the guy called me back later saying that yes, they had overcharged me by not deducting the £20 at checkout, but as it was a glitch i wasn't entitiles to a full refund!!!
I have just had the exact same thing, surely this isnt correct? Surely all over charges are "glitches"
Would really appreciate some advice from some of the more experienced RNR's on here..TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

He went on to say he'd phoned Dundee and they confirmed this, and as I had been given a £20 note then I had 'accepted' their offer and I couldn't change it to a full refund and return now.
!!!!!!... anyone else ever experienced this?
I want to keep the phone for a present, but am cross at being overcharged and fobbed off with my £20.
There is no mark etc on reciept... shall i just take it back to store( another one?) for a full refund saying i bought the wrong phone??
I paid in cash too.
Advice would be great pls!!
I recently did something similar. When a manager refused to give me R&R, I just accepted a refund and told her I would be taking it up with HO and Trading Standards.
Trading Standards initially told me that Tesco were in breach of their own Policy and therefore breaking the law, however then I mentioned that I had accepted a refund and was advised that by doing so I have reached a resolution with Tesco and may well struggle to achieve anything better. However she said that it was still worth phoning HO as most of their folks are more amicable than CS in stores.
I called HO quoting explained the situation and offered to give them my Trading Standards Ref No and the name of the person I had spoken to. (Attack is the best form of defence). The nice person :A at HO stated that I should have been able to keep the products as well as receiving the refund. She offered to call me back after she had spoken to someone at the store. She called me back about 5 minutes later and I returned to the store and collected my 2 mobiles. :rotfl::j
I was lucky, as in effect I had already accepted a resolution.IF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j0 -
I was wondering whether to just return the phone ( a Nokia 6070, quite nice!) to the store and getting another one from another store.. but then I'd have to buy another £40 worth of shopping....
