Does anyone here believe that Amishi was part of a global sting operation whereby every Tesco store selling that TV devoted security staff time solely to watching anyone who chose to look at it? And subsequently compiled CCTV/images of "potential R+R abusers" that's posted round the company for store detectives to follow?

Surely Spa2k and Constantine will be able to confirm that they've been contacted as part of this operation?

Can someone explain to me why I feel this way, every time I enter the golden T, I feel that I cannot leave without an r&r, I am sure there will come a time that I will need to go in there just for some milk and a loaf of bread soon, but will fee compelled towards the DVDs, and other christmas goodness, like a moth to the golden lightbulb.

    Is this an addiction?

Sure is 'My name is Flo and I am an R&Rer.'

I have really lost my touch I think, 1 R&R since January ish, and that had to go through HO as store refused. Now I seem to be in tesco every day and can't seem to find a thing. Mind you it might be the fault of a 4 year old as I seem to be chasing her all round the store as she's trying to find a scanner to check the prices of toys. Roll on next sept when she will go to full time school and I can work full time R&Ring.
  • It is i am hooked and only been doing it for 1 day

Way to go, I thought I was doing ok, just passed the £100.00 for this month, but you is certainly the man,(or woman).....eh!......you know what I mean.
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

I think he's just a prat. If they wanted to catch us all there would have been wrong SELs up on these tvs everywhere - and there weren't any near me:mad: .

If Tescos feel like testing me I could do with the wrong SEL on a microwave Stainless Steel couple of hundred quid one would be fine. Just put up the wrong SELs nationally and start the cameras.:rotfl:

Yep..its an addiction..also when you walk in you always assume everyone is looking at you and watching your EVERY move.. you dare to put your hands in your pocket just incase you think they think you got a long list of R&R's to do.. which if your like me you probably have!!

Dont worry no one is watching you as they are too busy doing there own job properly (mispricing things)

Ive posted on here so many times before saying "thats it ive had enough, ive had £500 free, i'm quitting!" then gone in to the next tesco and the next one and the next one and now 7 mobiles, 90 bottles of bud,70 fosters, 54 smirnoff, Over 20 games later i'm still going strong.. even showing mates now and turning those in to budding little R&R'ers...
  • Amishi, is your head suck up your R&Rs?
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

    Yes, yes it is.

Its when you go into another supermarket like morrisons or sainsburys and you start feeling like its a wasted opportunity you have to start worrying.

I went into Morrisons the other day and was checking SELs etc without even realising it!

Curiously though, I didnt find any misprices!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

    'Someone' mentioned digital SELs earlier!
Found this old post on thread 12

"Tesco is extending trials of electronic shelf-edge labelling with a view to installing it at certain counters in all UK stores.
The supermarket giant has been testing the wireless technology to instantly update and check prices at its delicatessen counters against competitors.
It has deployed ZBD’s electronic display to allow it to update any form of rich text content, such as graphics, logos, promotional offers and price changes instantly. The displays are linked wirelessly to in-store systems with a 100-metre range.
‘There is no need for paper tickets to be sent in from head office,’ said Tesco counter operations manager Mark Green.
‘Price changes can all be done in the back office, which filters through to the scales on the delicatessen counter and is communicated to the labels.’
The electronic labelling is simpler for staff to update, reduces the time involved in checking prices, cuts paper use and has been 100 per cent accurate so far.
‘The main benefit is in improved customer service, as they get up-to-date pricing and information, but staff also save time and can better serve our customers,’ said Green."Tesco is extending trials of electronic shelf-edge labelling with a view to installing it at certain counters in all UK stores.

" 'However, Tesco is not going to extend the system to all shelves.
At the moment, we are deploying it at just delicatessen counters because it is unique in having a lot of tickets that change frequently,’ said Green. ‘But it would not necessarily suit the shop floor.’ "

  • Well, I thought I should ask before making a career move richie23.

I am not bothered by who is watching me, if I get asked for help, I just say yeah I am looking for so and so, and they are so chuffed when they can direct me to exactly the product that I came looking for.

One such helpful assistant came over to me by the CS desk, to give me some advise last night, she said don't let them fob you off with the difference, get all of the money back, just don't drop me in it by telling you I told you so.

I am really regaining faith in the good hearts of others.
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.
