Hope mine comes through soon, gonna exchange them for vouchers to take the OH out for a nice meal on Tescos (as opposed to staying in for a nice meal on Tescos :rotfl: )Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

I know what you mean, all the Tescos security I have seen either look like they should be claiming pension or look like they are still at school. The only ones that really frighten me are the butch looking female security guards, I'd like to see frequent tackle one of those!
*actually, I wouldnt like to see it at all.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

I am becoming very concerned for the rights of shoppers, and the misselling of Tescos, are others here aware that it is illegal under the prices act 1974-75, to display goods for sale without an appropriate clearly marked price ticket.
If you are having trouble with the CS in your store refusing to give a r&r, how about referring to this, when they have removed the SEL and have it clutched in their sweaty little hands.
I certainly will be taking this up with trading standard in my neighbouring localities, and would recommend others do likewise. When will they ever learn. As my sig, seems to be offending some. I have removed it, god bless you mr T.0 -

This is thread thirteen - it has been brought up countless times.
For the majority on here (although not all), the pot of gold you refer to in your sig is the over-riding consideration.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -

Agree with that, everytime someone gets rr, and cs remove sel, it just means they (Tesco) get away with overcharging everyone else as they have nothing to compare prices with (although alot of people don't bother anyway).
Should they not reprint the correct SEL and put it on the shelf to avoid sellng goods that are not clearly priced on the shelf ?Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
The Label is retained then given to the pos department, who will reprint the correct label, or ammend the price!0

I have asked questions like this in my letter, they didnt want/couldnt reply to them in writing so I have a meeting with store manager on friday.
I think the questions in my letter have given him enough rope, hopefully he will hang himself in answering them!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I have just posted a letter to head office re the McManis wine. The Tesco Manager denied it was an overcharge and said it was a different product. He did offer me the difference on each bottle "as a goodwill gesture - I certainly don't have to !". The wording on the yellow shelf label (bigger than the SEL) is EXACTLY the same as on the wine bottle label and there is no qualifier stating that the offer only applies to a particular vintage/year. I can't see how any customer can be expected to tell that the offer doesn't include all McManis Family Vineyards Cab Sauvignon regardless of when they were bottled.
I've kept the wine and receipt and also have the yellow label and the normal white label (which shows the higher price) - the Manager gave them to me when I asked him. Is the Manager correct in his assertion that only the higher price immediately under the wine is what should be charged - even when there is a lower price on a different label further along the wine display ? I think he's wrong - surely 2 different priced labels are what a lot of RNRs are based on ? If the wine I bought (2004) wasn't in the offer then I feel they should have printed a yellow label which excluded it (or alternatively said which year WAS included).
Also, should I have sent my letter to Dundee - I've just realised I sent it to the Delamare Road, Cheshunt address !!!ELITE 5:2
