    Afternoon All!

Well, what a dull old time its been!! lol

Everything has been plodding along pretty nicely.....

Except major panic yesterday when my work pc died and had to be taken away. Why the panic??? All my spreadsheets are held on it!!! The realisation that if I had no computer I had no idea what was happening with my accounts - was enough to almost make me cry!! Anyway, I mananged to get the pc going in safe mode and luckily managed to email myself a copy of the essentials!! Phew!!

    Panic over!!!

    Hello All!

Well, I wil be plodding on with this diary this year; nothing exciting enough is happening to make it worth starting a new one!

Well, as always, it is Friday and therefore payday! Money has been moved around and I have a slightly amended plan!! I was moving all my 'surplus' (ha ha ha) money over to my old OD in an attempt to reduce the amount of interest accrued on it... and last year it worked to the point where I paid about £36 pound in interest instead of the projected £96. So I was happy enough - but I have now decided to treat this old OD as a debt and pay it off - at the rate of £20 a week. Everything else will be covered out of my current account. In the meantime, any money earnt / gifted / picke dup from house-sitting etc will be put into a savings account to put toward 'treats' etc (and things like OH b'day present etc). This means that (if it works) my old OD will be gone by about July.

There is still a surplus each month in the household account which will continue to get set aside for our holiday fund.

OH is more on the ball so far this year and wants a proper budget worked out for him and also a budget created for food shopping (our biggest expenditure month on month!) This all falls on my shoulders to work out, but if it works it will be very much worth it.

All purchases where possible will be routed through Q.co and the likes to build up a few pennies there and I will be working on their 'check-ins' as I walk around town. Did this one day between Christmas and New Year in a nearby larger town and picked up about 90p that was paid the following week!!! Every little definitely helps.

And that, as they say, is about it from me.... for now.

Here's wishing you all the very best for [STRIKE]2012 [/STRIKE]- 2013 and wishing me some lovely new pairs of shoes!!!

    Good (non-snowy-currently) Friday!

Slightly disappointed that I am at work and there is no snow yet - but it just means that getting home could be more fun later!! x

Well, as it is 'that day of the week again' I have checked my online banking and everything that should move of its own accord has moved and I have drizzled the princely sum of £8.40 into my 'savings' account.

And, that... as they say in the onion world, is shallot!!
