Erm - have decided that I must be un-well .. I have just purchased some bargainous items online that means that I have started my Christmas shopping!!! Unheard of for October (and usually November as well!). It does mean that with a little present recycling from last year (smellies) I have completed two presents for £3.33 each! Now this I am loving!!! :O) :O)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good morning all!
Well, it's my favourite day of the week.... PAYDAY!
Slightly worrying is the realisation that there are now only 9 paydays to Christmas!!! Really need to work out my budget (not that I ever stick to it - I look at it as knowing how much more I have spent than I should have done!!)
On the up side.... I have a small amount of overtime available each of the next 9 weeks (total approx £70-£90), I am house-sitting for 9 days (should be about £90) and I have loads of items to ebay which were put aside during last weekends tidy up at home! I have a dress and shoes to wear to christmas parties (mine and OH's works-do's!), saving about £50.
And I am going to be organised!!! I spend sooo much more money than I need simply because I am not organised enough to make my money work efficiently for me eg, taking advantage of special offers / deals / glitches etc!! This is going to be my biggest challenge - can I actually put my best intentions into practise??
Anyway, enough mutterings from me for now! Have a great Friday and an even better weekend all!

happy payday to you!
i wish i could be organised this year, i usually am but this year it's all just gone by the wayside. Can't believe it's only 9 weeks till christmas, i'm sure you must have flipped over two months at the same time when you were looking through your calendar.0 -
Sadly not LT - it really is only that long!!
PAH!
I forgot to mention earlier that I had my 'annual overdraft review' letter from HSBC yesterday. For the first time EVER, they are not charging me (£25) to renew either overdraft. Now, this got me thinking.... all the time I was struggling to stay within my OD limit, they would charge me each year to renew it at the same amount. Now I am within my OD limit all the time (not even used on one account) they are renewing with no charge (they even offered to up one limit if wanted to!!). Does anyone know if I can claim back the previous overdraft renewal fees as I was obviously in trouble back then?? Just a thought!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

well done for listing things, not sure about reclaiming the overdraft fees though sorry.0

Fleabay is a bit slow - one item with 2 watchers, one with 1. No bids on anything!
I hope it picks up a bit. I have some more bits that I want to set off on Thursday on a 10 day listing!!
Still think the OD arrangement fees are wrong - but really do not think I will get anywhere... 'spose I should be glad they are not charging me this year!! :O)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good Friday morning All!
I am not sure where you all are - but down here it is bloomin dark, windy and generally miserable. And I have the sniffles ... oh well, onwards and upwards.
So, today I have done my internet banking, moved my 'surplus' pennies over to my old OD and made sure everything is where it should be.
I listed another 3 items on fleabay last night, these for 10 days so they end next Sun - the first batch end this Sunday - so far bids on one item and watchers on a total of three. Hoping they move a bit quicker before they end!
Sounds like there may be quite a chunk of overtime available between now and Christmas... should return approx £180 over and above my predicted £70-£90. And house-sitting is not that far away either.
I took advantage of a Q*pe deal and paid £1 to get a voucher for £12.50 off a jewelry website - ideal for a present for my friend in America, even if I have to add another £10 to it, its still a bargain!! (It is amazing what is available if you keep your eye out and be a bit organised!!)
Right, I had better do some work - plenty of that to do here!
Have a great weekend peeps, catch you all later! x Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning All!
Hope you all had a good weekend?
Well, I thought I would drop you all a quick note this morning to let you know that 5 of my 6 items on fleabay sold - a rough total of £11.00, which is pretty pants to be fair. I relisted the one that didn't sell and there is one watcher on my other items due to finish this Sunday coming.
I'll be back!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
