Mothball the car BB, We did that last year with one of them for about ten months, saved us a fortune, and it got me up off my fat backside for a while too before I had my accident! Have you had a look at weezl's site for a couple of ideas for cutting back the food shop? I am trying to get mine to an even £60 p/w including fuel  just now. But we don't eat meat, just a bit of chicken now and again for the menfolk.

    Hi all :hello:

I've posted here once but I really need to get more OS and organised, I spend too much on food and I need to save pennies.

It's just DD and me most nights but OH stays over a few times. I work part time and drive a car. I need to cut back on car journeys and cycle to work but it's too cold at the mo :o

I'll keep looking in for inspiration and ideas. I guess the first thing I should do is a meal plan. I just seem to have no organisation at all :o although I do have a sausage casserole in the oven and as it's just me eating tonight I'll freeze half for another night. DD is a fussy eater and I'm not normally hungry at her tea time so she often eats alone which I'm sure doesn't help with the fussiness!!

Hi tigzem - welcome again! Have to say, meal planning always saves the pennies for me - it's what I need to go back to first whenever the OS wagon hits a bump!

Spent the afternoon sorting the paperwork, have filed away loads, sorted and dumped all the old car insurance documents and typed up two loads of minutes that have been sat about for a couple of weeks. Also had a look at the finances - where does the money go? I have enough to keep me going but never enough to do anything with. I think I will have to question every penny I spend and stop wasting it. Although a fair amount goes on fuel and as I live in quite a rural location public transport is not an option. I did buy a brand new bike at the end of the summer so that's looking good when the weather gets a bit better.

I have also sorted out my handbag which had one or two amusing/disgusting items in it.

Roast veg for tea which is cooking just now, washing done but have had to put some smalls in the TD due to lack of drying space.

Sorry and excuse my bad manners, welcome to the newbies.

Hope the first day back to school was ok, I am in tomorrow. Take care all. XX

Well im dead on my feet tonight. So i can see myself being in bed not long after the twins tonight, (8:00pm there bed time) Its not been a bad or hard day at work its just me:mad:

Twin one has been to the drs and there is nothing to worry about its just a build up of wax. Got to give it a week and if she is still saying that her ear hurts we can go back and he will give us some drops to free it. But he dose think is will sort its self out. She has not long got over a cold and he thinks that has made her noitce it with being blocked up with a cold. We are still now haveing wipe both of there noises quite a lot each day.

Going to have fish cooked in toms with mushrooms, cherry toms, sweet corn, carrotts, peppers and serveit with risce. Is simpel to do put it all in a big oven dish and cook. Then add your fish later and cook that for the time it needs. very quick and easy.

Well i hope that all the sick amoung you and there is many! start to feel better soon.

    Enjoy your evening everyone:j:j

    Evening all

    Welcome newbies :)

Bit of a stressful few hours in work this afternoon, ended up staying an extra hour to try and help my boss sort some stuff out (but I'll try to claim that back this week).

Another rainy day here, which is annoying me as I want to cut down on my car use a bit and I don't like walking in the rain :(.

I seem to have hurt my shoulder, may have overdone it at the gym yesterday :( it was absolutely killing me this morning, but had dulled down a bit now.

I seem to be in the minority here but I never meal plan. I know what I eat and am happy to have any odd thing for dinner! But I live on my own so maybe if there was more than me then maybe I would.

No OS here, other than getting some soup out of freezer for lunch tomorrow.

Off to cheer myself up with the new issue of Cook Veg mag :) but will probably fall asleep on sofa!

Swttled into the Travelodge at Ashford, comfy and enjoying the tea/coffee. Had the bread rollls I made last night with some low fat @ate frOm Aldi l/o from Xmas. You have to pay for bband so managing with my Bberry.

My thought go out to those with money problems, and those who have succumbed to the bugs going around.

We are luckily in a good place, but being careful, and using up has been natural for years and cOoking from scratch comes naturally.

Jayward where are you thought you were posting daily ??

Take care + (((hugs))) to all

I need to get organised and lose some weight this year! I've not long since got in from work and planned to get some healthy recipes planned.

But no... the teenage lad next door has his music blaring and is also singing along!! Help :(.
It's really frustrating, I turned my volume up to the highest setting but I can't even hear it!
    :((
