Tried to do a post earlier and flipping lost it, second time lucky.

Well, had a healthyish breakfast, lunch and dinner today, porridge for breakfast, lunch was a ham sarnie (nice grainy bread), yoghurt, one fruit Ryvita, and six brazil nuts which I thought was good until someone pointed out that six brazil nuts wasn't good. Apparantly you can overdose on selenium, so two brazil nuts a day from now on. Reminds me of the time now I think on it, I was at the docs and said I had a really sore tummy, like really sore, she asked what I had changed if anything and I said I'd been eating a tonne of BZ, that would do it, she said! Duh!!

Anyway, dinner was half a chinese style turkey fillet (was quite big so the other half is tomorrow's dinner), a few small boiled new potatoes, corn on the cob, brocolli, cauli, carrots, sugar snap peas and a couple of cherry toms, t'was very tasty but methinks I really did buy too much veggies as still got loads left. Just as well OH was down to help me eat it all.

Have also done something very extreme today, the background first....

About 12 years ago I did kick-boxing for about six months, I gave it up due to lack of confidence (and I kept getting battered) and at the time not being able to afford doing the exams and buying outfits/belts etc. Anyway, I really enjoyed it (apart from getting battered) as I was the fittest I've ever been, used to be able to do press-ups with my feet raised on a table, now I can hardly do two on my toes.

I vaguely remembered my cousin's son did boxing or something to that affect so I looked up boxing training in my area and realised that my cousin actually coaches in one near me, SO, I facebooked him tonight to ask if women went (I already knew they did as there was a pic on their website), he said a few did and so to pop in on Monday, eek.....

Also, his son does personal training and would probably give me a family discount. He said he's had brilliant results and I know him so it could be right up my alley. I'm paying £22.50 a month just now for the gym I go to, like once a week, so I'm wondering whether to cancel this as I would need to once I move house. Ach can't decide, won't be moving for at least a year and I really would like to go to more than one class, back to Body Balance once I get my dodgy hips/leg sorted.

That's another story, and I know I'm rambling but loads has happened all at once, seen the Physio at work about my sciatica prone leg and she said I stand leaning to my left so I'm all knocked out. She's given me exercises and will have a few sessions with her, hoping this sorts my bad posture too so I can walk down the aisle and not lurch like Quasimodo.

Just as well I'm almost debt free, would never be able to afford a personal trainer if Istill had the debt. Well night all, I'm knacked with all this stuff going on.

Sounds like Alexander Technique would work for you Swinstie - that targets things like not standing straight, and teaches you how to....well, sounds silly but how to use your body to its best.

The nurse mentioned the Alexander Technique to me when I was getting referred to the physio, been looking into it to see if there were any practicioners near me but not had much luck. I did see something coming up on YTube, ha, but not checked it out yet. I find YTube quite good actually for some things, I found out how to tie a bow in a ribbon on there.

My posture is quite bad and I get worried as two of my aunts have essentially got humps, one quite bad and the other really badly round-shouldered.

Well, the sun is shining here again and it's fab, makes you want to get up and do stuff, of course, I'm stuck at work with no hols left to even take a half day, boo. Might try for a walk at lunch-time instead.

    Nearly home time, yeah.....

Went for a walk at lunch-time which I quite enjoyed. Was down a cycle path by a river and I must admit to looking over my shoulder all the time, it was ok though, just eerily quiet. Was going to walk across an iron bridge to the shops but had been warned sometimes people hang about there, so I decided not to. When I got to it there were three old men sitting playing cards, thought about going to join them, ha!

Well since I managed a walk, I'll really need to get myself in gear with the house, will try and get the bathroom finished when I go home then try for the kitchen between tonight and tomorrow. OH won't be down til Saturday so I will go the the gym Sat morn then get my action head on and do the livingroom/bedroom. I really need to de-clutter, doesn't help that I have a box of wedding related stuff sitting in the livingroom and mirrors under the staircase, hope they've not got broken.

Money spent today, only 50p so not too bad for the day before pay-day.

    It's almost pay-day, yeehah.......

Well had a fairly productive day since I came home, picked up the pearly headpiece from my mum's that I got off ebay (yes, another one) and whilst it seems fairly cheap (was handmade by someone so not a 'professional' one), it actually seems like it might be ok. The band seems a bit short i.e. only sits around the ears but it's not digging in at least. I think it will match but unsure whether it will look 'cheap' or not. Think I will give up buying anymore until I try it with the dress in Sept.

Had a very tasty dinner of the other half of my turkey fillet, corn on the cob, brocolli, cauli, sugar snap peas and sweet potato, you know to shake it up a bit. Was nice, but then I spoilt it by having a HUGE piece of the granola bar my sister made. It's semi healthy as it's got loads of nuts and stuff, but I eat a HUGE piece so not so healthy. Had a healthy lunch too so bummed at myself.

Anyway, have finished the bathroom at last, how did it take two days you may ask. Well I cleaned it from top to toe, it's not huge but I get very distracted and seem to sit down a lot. Going to have a little cuppa, only my third of the day as I've drank loads of water, watch a bit of tv then head upstairs to tidy some more. OH not down til Saturday so I've loads of time, I hope. Say night now as really shouldn't be on here, oops.

    Woo-hoo it's pay-day!

Got a nice wee surprise today, was coming upstairs at work today with some boxes on my wee trolley and as I turned the corner into our section, there lying on the floor was a £20 and a £10 note, I picked them up and asked if any of the guys had lost money, no-one had so I handed it into reception. About 10 mins later a guy near our section who I don't really know was patting his pockets and looking around so I asked him if he'd lost money, turns out it was his. He turned up after lunch-time with a box of Roses for me which was very nice, was all chuffed, until....

One of the guys (whilst eating one of them, as I had put them out for everyone), said 'you've not been eating chocolates have you, you've no willpower' - !!!!!! they're my flipping chocolates - and he walked away before I even got the chance to explain how I got them - SO, they are packed up and are going home with me, I'll share them with my mum and sisters instead!

Apart from that I'm still secretly chuffed.

Oh and I have spent £1.25 on a latte (decided this will be my pay-day treat) and £40 on much needed petrol and as I was driving on fumes this morning. Well, almost home time so gonna get tidied up, wash my cup and switch off for the weekend, bliss.

    Evening diary,

Well been a busy Swinstie today/tonight, finally got my bathroom all lovely and clean and de-cluttered, why do I insist on having pot pourri like everywhere, gathering dust and not even giving of lovely smells anymore???!!! So pot pourri dish now has a nice simple candle in it, basket of rolled up face-cloths now housing my daily beauty products (it's a small basket, honest) and face-cloths will go into cupboard once I clear all the junk from the front of the door.

Bedroom is even looking liveable again, will finish that off tomorrow after the gym as OH working and won't be down til 5pmish. I will get this house done, I will......

Had a semi healthy dinner of small piece of quiche, boiled new potatoes, sweetcorn, beetroot and cherry toms, was ok, but then I've ruined it all by consuming the rest of the choccies, bad bad Swinstie. Oh, well, might as well be bad until Monday when I might be sparring with some boxers (and not OH's).

Have also de-cluttered some taped tv progs but now heading to bed or I'll never get up tomorrow. Will be nice to get into an empty bed and not one so filled with junk I'm scared to move incase it falls. Night all.

    Hey Swinstie!

Am am at silly o clock so though I'd catch up! Well done on the decluttering. Our flat is complete chaos at the moment. The flat
pack boxes are slowly going and the kitchen is coming together. If all goes well, I can start moving some things back this weekend. I will need to declutter as I go! Well done on your decluttering and sorting. I really do need to take a leaf out of your book!

Wow urg, that is some time to have been up since, I'm impressed. Remember the clocks go forward so try catch up on sleep.

Well, been up since 8.20am myself, had my porridge and a banana (and the last two Roses, ssh don't tell anyone) and made it to the gym, it was in a portakabin as the gym is being done up, it was nice to see the sun, yes, it's very sunny here. Wish I had put a wash on now.

Got Aerosmith blasting on the cd player and (apart from being on here right this minute), I'm finishing the bedroom, can't believe it's almost done, top landing next then hoover staircase and come downstairs to do down here. The livingroom is not too bad, but the kitchen is a disaster. Going to make sausage casserole for dinner tonight so be able to prepare and bung in the oven later. Need to see how the food is going, don't want to be throwing out any of my fresh (or not so fresh now) veggies if I can help it. Will bung in tonnes of it with the sausages.

Lunch about half twelve so that gives me an hour to do some sorting. Two bags from the room need to be gone through, will do that tomorrow I think. Have a great weekend all, try not to be back on til tomorrow and hopefully decluttering will on be done.

    Afternoon,

Well, haven't done much today so far, didn't get up til quite late. Kept looking at my clock think 'another half an hour' til I realised I hadn't moved the clock so it was later than I thought, oops.

Have had breakfast, changed the sheets on the bed, hoovered and tidied bedroom and bathroom again, just to keep on top of it, folded dried washing and put away and put another wash on but I really don't know where to start downstairs, it's a total disgrace. Upstairs looks fab, downstairs looks drab. I have got way too much clutter going on, just want to throw it all out.

I had some fake white flowers on my wee window at my staircase which I have swapped for one of my small candelabras and an old teacup and saucer with a tealight in it, looks very nice. Now I'm wondering where to put the flowers, or should I just chuck 'em??? They are quite nice, but gather dust like there's no tomorrow.
