Today I have a mini mircrowave pizza I found in the freezer and the end of a bag of salad from the weekend - part of my not wasting any food strategy.

Way to go! It seems like us trying to save money is also saving our leftovers from going to the rubbish bin too! Aren't we all so green!!

Damn Damn Damn - I have been at work for the last 9 days straight and have used up my 2 bought lunches already! Its been pretty heavy going at work and lots of temptation to splurge on lovely food to make me feel better!
Not back in work until next Thursday so have plenty of time to prepare something lovely. Am now going to look at the slow cooker section so I can get some recipes and freeze portions for lunches. :)
  • I found a pack of pasta in the cupboard and used up the red pepper i've had stashed in the fridge at work. And guess what guys i've discovered the best thing to liven up my boring tins and packets. CHILLI FLAKES. I had a big bag i'd bought from an ethnic food store ages ago and put them into an empty herb/spice jar and took it into work. I've had them sprinkled on my beans on toast, on my pasta and sprinkled on tomato flavoured packet rice. Yum Yum.

Anyway it was cheesy pasta with a yogurt today. Still no bought lunches. Am determined to keep up the momentum. Have lots of potatoes at home so i think it'll be jacket spuds most of next week if I can find the cheesy triangles out of the back of the fridge.

Today I had leftover chicken teriaki! Yum. Lots of boxes in the freezer for next week as well and 2 tins of soup in the work draw in case my memory fails me again!

:hello: Hello, I think you all might help me with my NSD challenge! It seems to be my work lunches that catch me out! I now have emergency money in my drawer (it's only £1 for a baked potato, 2 pieces of fruit and juice at the canteen - but that gets dull very quickly!) but if I miss the canteen time (which is often as I'm always out and about) I've a tendency to skip lunch altogether - which isn't good!!!

I can't figure out quite what will be realistic for me just now, so I may just lurk about for the rest of January and figure out what's doable in February, if that's ok?

PS I'm now very hungery having read all about your lunches! :rotfl:

I feel I'm a bit late to the party. Can I join in next month please?
Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...
