    I give up.

Please don't give up choille, your support is wanted and needed.

It wasn't a nice comment to make as it was obvious who it was aimed at and advertising of other websites/forums, commercial or otherwise, is not allowed on MSE as Erme well knows.

The link to the e-cigarette thread is quite welcome on this thread, this thread is for support for stopping smoking and what is most heartening is to read the posts of those who have given up yet still spend their time supporting others in their quest to stop.
  • I have no idea why people are comparing e-cigs to joints! Where on earth did that come from?

Sat in a room full of smokers today and wasn’t even tempted

    So proud of myself!

  • I have now been free from ciggies for nearly 4 weeks thanks to an e-ciggie and help I got from aaec forum.

How is it any different swirling some nicotine vapour around your mouth than chewing nicotine chewing gum?

I'm so upset that my method of stopping smoking is being compared to taking illegal drugs!

Many thanks for all the good wishes in being off the cigs for two years.

Erme - Sounds like you are trying to cause trouble with your last post - please stop it before YOU upset people. This thread is for people who want to stop smoking. It is not for getting people off one method of taking in nicotine & getting them hooked on another method & it is for people supporting each other in that attempt.
Please STOP your Shoite stirring as it is very offensive & counter productive.

i know people who have been chewing nicotine gum for 8 years. Is that not the same as substituting one nicotine product for another!

Well done to everyone who is doing so well, in their chosen method of not smoking tobacco cigarettes . . .

It's what works for you and we're all evangelical about what works for us . . . I smoked for 36 years, was on 40/50 cigs a day and spending an eye watering £70 a week on them.

Almost 2 years now, a smoke free zone thanks to ecigs . . .

Paid In Chickens - you strong gal! Well done in the face of a big challenge - have sympathy on back situation as sprained a ligament in my lower back at the same time as you and I'm only just getting around without pain again now thanks to a blummin' good Osteopath. Sending you big painkilling vibes to make the next few weeks a bit easier :-)
Fantastic willpower CKhalvashi in the face of smokers - yay!
Well done Karma for giving up the ciggies, you're doing brilliantly....as you know xxx

Back to supporting people giving up smoking on here I think - enough of the meanness!

That would be me not explaining very well what I mean.:o

E cigs to me are for when you can't have a fag at work or on a plane and not really giving up just as my friend with her joints who was not really giving up.

Although this is not the case for everyone.

I was recommended to come here for support but all I can see is people waiting to argue, not what I thought it would be :(

I think I am in less danger of having a fag by staying off here and keeping my stress levels down.

    I couldn't agree more.

    It's such a shame.
