Keep it simple! Especially on a thread where most readers don't know what the heck you are talking about.
I do admire the spreadsheets though
Thanks for that V....alas simple and me? Naw.....I just say it like it is (complicated tee hee). Actually I am a fellow fruit loop....more a polo mint self tee hee...Hugsif we ignore my small hiccup i have done six months to the day...sue if you are watching i am doing my little dance again x
Yeah I had one about 2 months. (smoked 1/2 oz) haven't had one since. Roll on my 6 months (next month) :j...so please for you C....remind e how you did it?
Noticed yesterday I vape more when tired. (just like I used to smoke)....At that point I don't even want the nic. I just want to vape....
Maybe when my new e-cig comes I need to make up a no nic e-cig for these times but that sounds a little complex? I don't know....Any thoughts?
Pleased this thread is back on track though don't know how much I should be on here for risk of keeping it 'too complicated' and scaring half the planet witless LOL

Not smoked for since my slip-up on Monday, so happy!
Got my e-cig now, and it’s working. I’ve got 2, so I’m keeping one in my car and the other in the kitchen.
Will update later on!

Hi Needstochange - I am not too sure how long you have been visiting the board so wondered if, before she became ill, Sue sent you the PM for newbies? If not, let us know. I think I still have mine but it may have been updated in the last (almost 2 years).
The weight gain is often an issue. Some quitters try to concentrate on beating the nicotine addiction first; others are able to deal with both issues at once and have a plan in hand .....like taking up maranthon running ....or redecorating the house.:D
Caracara - keep dancing, it is good for you! Well done, 6 months is a tremendous achievement. :T Do you, by any chance, have a copy of the PM Sue sends to newbies?
Good to see you popping back, Kiwisaver and splishsplash

Hello Fellow Quitters
So nice to read so many success stories, well done all of you I hope soon I will be joining your club
Day 6 Champix
Well today has been a bit of a strange day really, I have been very very tired 1 minute then full of beans the next, I have also noticed over the last couple of days my appetite has increased quite a bit, I do not usually eat that much during the day, never have breakfast or lunch but the last couple of days I have not stopped eating! Smoking wise today I have been back to normal smoking my usual amount which seems a bit of a shame as I had cut down by about half over the last couple of days, maybe just having an off day today.
Feeling a little less confident today, there is still a part of me that thinks these magic pills will not work, I hope they do as I really do want to quit this time. In general a bit of a low day, I am sure there will be more to come over the next few weeks
Still onwards and upwards, tomorrow is my last day on the half dose, Friday I start on the full 1mg tablet in the morning and at night.
From what I have read on-line these thoughts and feelings I am experiencing are completely normal so not worried about anything. Still no signs of any side effects such as nausea, no headaches or vivid dreams, so far so good.
Nice relaxing bath later and an early night hopefully I will feel a bit brighter tomorrow
Anyhow thanks all for your comments so far and keep up the good work"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
I came to post here a few days ago but got put off by the squabbling...who cares what method people use to stop smoke? We're not all the same and what works for one person might not work for the other. Good luck to all, surely we should all be on the same side here?!
Anyway, I'm sprinting towards the three week mark, which for me is incredible. I feel better, my smokers cough has disappeared, and I think my skin looks a bit brighter already. And the £100+ I've saved is obviously a bonus too!
I've also managed my first hurdle, alcohol. Managed two nights tipsy without having one (now granted I wasn't out with a pile of smokers, so that could be another issue, but I'll face that when I come to it!)
I can't wait to hit the month mark, hopefully if I can get to there there'll be no looking back!Aiming for that elusive 'debt free' by Christmas 2012
