Hi team!
Lovely to read from all of you!
24 days, 16 hours and 6 minutes!! Yayyyyyyyy!
I still feel like having a ciggie sometimes but I just think it, I don't act on it and it quickly passes. I have been so stressed out but I am amazed that I have not got into my car and driven to the shop at a late hour for cigs (that's what I would have done in the past)
If you have an iphone, download the MLC app, it is amazing motivation (My Last Cigarette)

Still feeling absolutely awful and am trying to identify whether this is nicotine withdrawal or a new and different thyroid problem:
Feel really, really hot all the time
Took my temperature this morning 35.8C
Hands shaking
Pulse racing
The left hand side of my face is numb
Legs and arms feel weak
Head feels as if it might burst
Any thoughts anyone?
I am not conscious of any cravings, or any desire to smoke.

I think that in light of the symptoms, I would ring NHS Direct and just let them know. It could be cravings, it could by thyroid, it could be something unrelated. I don't think you will truly stop worrying though unless you speak to someone who knows what they're on about. Well thanks for this just another 70 days for me to have better lungs...but i will get there:-)0 -
Guys and girls, everytime you get the urge, have a look at those pics... so nasty and scary!
Mrs P, I think you should get to a doctor as soon as you can.
My cravings were horrible but I did not suffer what you are suffering. I was going crazy, like a mad woman rushing around cleaning, anything just to keep my nicotine hungry self busy. I suffered mouth ulcers from nicotine withdrawal but they cleared up after just 2 days of treatment. I seriously recommend you see a doc as I don't think your symptoms are just down to nicotine withdrawal.
Kat glad you are doing well! I knew you would be OK after your slip up, we have all been there, just think of tarred lungs and slow painful death next time you get the urge xxDebt Bust LBM 01/01/2013 - [STRIKE]£11,115.28[/STRIKE] £10,593.81

Oh yes! I just showed those pics to my boss (a non smoker always) he was shocked! I think these pics may do the rounds if you don't mind for the people sat on the quitting fence so they jump over to our side xLoan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. Kat, I would have stopped sooner had these photos been shoved in my face. I knew what damage smoke can do but I always turned a blind eye but in this instance I couldn't ignore it, my iphone app displays a pic of the day to keep me in track and these ones amongst others is horrific - the other day it flashed one of throat cancer, seriously, I felt like I was going to faint. I am so glad I am not making myself ill any more xDebt Bust LBM 01/01/2013 - [STRIKE]£11,115.28[/STRIKE] £10,593.81

Kat, this is the pic I am talking about....
****WARNING****
A really FRIGHTENING photo of throat cancer (as a result of smoking) coming up.... please don't look if you are of the fainting type.... (but do try, fainting is nicer than dying of cancer)
