    You are lucky you weren't prosecuted. You broke the National Rail Conditions of Carriage by not presenting a valid ticket. You get no compensation whatsoever.

    Do you think that's how it works? I'm honourable, and keep my ticket ready for the inspector when I get on a train. Being honourable means nothing.
