  • Evening all

Well am sat here watching Corrie while OH walks the dog.

Dinner tonight is leftover haunch of venison with roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, gravy and peas.

Had another shooting lesson today, and it was better than the first time, so am happy with that :D

Am dreading tomorrow - it's my birthday (:j) but it's also the day that OH finds out if he's going away on the 12th. If he is, then we've got 6 days ahead of us which are full of stress and endless driving to various destinations in the country to get paperwork sorted out. It also means that he won't be here when I start my job, which is causing me to feel a bit down, as well as the fact that I haven't got a start date yet...

Oh well, it could be much, much worse. At least OH is still here and we've got our health. Sorry to whinge.

Hope everyone's ok, and hugs to those who need them.

    T xx

Well the christmas tree is down and the living room has been dusted and vacced. I still have a little tree up until twelfth night though which is in my bedroom and I love looking at it.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • I'm not actually, I am looking forward to being back in a routine and as I am finally well after an entire month of being very poorly am glad I have the energy back!

So how to look forward to work tomorrow OS wise...........

    1. We (or very few of us MSEs) got into debt for Christmas, so dont have to worry about those nasty cc bills coming in.
    2. We already know how to budget and shop wisely ........... so an extra 2.5% vat increase although irritating/annoying is not the end of the world.
    3. There are only 4 days of work so the weekend will be here quicker!
    4. We are in a great position to help our work colleagueas who have vastly overspent and are panicking as pay day is ages away, by sharing little tips and tricks.
    5. The sun will be rising earlier and setting later so travel time will be different than a few weeks ago.

Anyone else got any tips they would like to share?

And before anyone says "smug attitude, get OP" yes I will be yelling at my alarm clock to Eff off!

    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

It's not too bad for me - I do a three day week. I've got a training day (heaven only knows what kind of carp we'll have to wade through), then the cherubs land on Wednesday, so I've got a two day week . I just hope they've remembered to heat our prefabs this term! School is much easier to deal with now that I'm part time.

The start of DH going back to work gives me my siestas back. I'm dreading it...he works away from home during working weeks and we've had such a lovely long time together because he worked from home from the Wednesday before Christmas.

BUT, I will benefit from routine back a lot.

I'm looking forward to giving the sitting room a damn good clean..we've huddled in there for warmth since the cold spell.

I'm looking forward to my annual ''detox''which starts tomorrow without wondering if DH is ok fending for himself.

I'm also going to have four days to write him a huge list of jobs too heavy for me for next weekend ;)
