This is what I used to get a predicted monthly forcast. Ive only been running 1 month so very early to say how accurate it is. But im 20% above there forcast. http://www.solarguide.co.uk/solar-pv-calculator#bestresult
Most use the PVGIS system for comparison and setting a target ..... (http://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvgis/apps4/pvest.php) ... remember to not use the classic dataset ...

What are using as your projected figures?jackieblack wrote: »IIRC I got them from a website that Zeupater (I think) recommended, but it was so long ago now I can't remember exactly... I remember having to input various info and then I just copy & pasted the results into my spreadsheet (:o)Hi

Ooh, yes, that looks familiar! :T2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

The referenced site is a project sponsored by the EU and therefore paid for by all (/most ?) reading this forum. Many (/most) of the calculators used by other sites use some form of subset of the PVGIS dataset which do not resolve to the same level of detail, therefore local conditions which effect insolation caused by hills/large bodies of water etc result in less accurate average predictions.
The issue with all of these tools is that they work on averaged historical data, however, the weather at a particular point in time has a habit of being anything other than average ....

Yes, this is one I used to get my targets - inaccurately reading the monthly results from the graph. I've just noticed that you can hover the mouse to get the actual figures, or even view the page source and see the actual table of data it is using.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0 -
Hi
November has been horrendous to date - we've acheived just over 25kWh/kWp .... which is lower than your figures, so don't worry too much ....
We'll see just how bad it's been in a couple of days time when the Met-office update their sunshine data for the month ... I wouldn't be surprised if we'll be in the 50%-70% of average band in our area, probably something quite similar to (/worse than) October 2005 or August this year ... (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/anomacts/)

Sunshine figures now published ... (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/anomacts/) ... really surprises me, we're in a 70% to 90% of average area which doesn't show up in our figures, unless it's 70.00001% here:D
Nice extract picture for anyone too lazy, or too worried, to play clicky with the above link ....
Mind you, it does definately show how good it's been if you've been sunbathing in sunny Essex, or even have a system 'just south of the Suffolk county line' ........ but even that pales into insignificance when compared with the area centred on Inverness, I'd seen some pretty decent generating figures from some Scottish systems, I can see why now ....

Has anyone else had problems getting Scottish Power to accept their application to add their panels to the System and actually get a little money back?
I've been trying since October and keep getting the run around, and now no one will answer my emails.
ANy advice?
Am having trouble with Scottish Power. Panels were installed and started generating on September 14th. I sent off paperwork and then went away for over a month. When we got back there was a letter saying we hadn't signed the VAT declaration (which both my installer and we missed. I signed it and sent it back, then had a letter saying they would be paying is from October 26th. I phoned my installer who said that the VAT declaration is only required by Scottish Power and nPower and the same thing had happened to a customer of his last year. That customer had fought it and got the payment backdated. I have registered a complaint with Scottish Power and was promised an email resposne (which never came). I sent an email to the customer complaints office I'd been dealing with outlining the situation of the other customer and got no reply. A week later I got a call from another customer service rep asking for those details and I explained I'd sent them a week earlier, he said they hadn't got them. I resent them and he's supposed to be getting back to me but said he was very dubious as it's a Government requirement (my installer says it isn't)
The period we were away was when the UK had that unexpected heatwave in October so don't want to lose out on that payment if I can help it. Any advice?
Thanks

Are you sure that they aren't just saying that the system will be registered as of October 26th .... if you haven't supplied another meter reading then they will be using the original reading supplied with the application so nothing will be lost ... actually, there would be a gain as you will have extra days at the end of the 25 years as well as the generation before the 26th .... either way you'll not lose out.

Hadn't thought about it that way, I was just cross that the days of high generation whilst we were away wouldn't receive the FIT payment.
Thanks
