  • 11.64kWh here today in the end:
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D
  • I don't know which part of the world you are getting these fantastic amounts? I haven't had more than 1.5 kWh in na day since November with a 4 kWp system?
  • I get absolutely stuffed at this time of year due to the trees approx 13m away from my roof - with the sun so low in the sky I get significant shading which kills my generation figures. Roll on the summer!

Well I was very pleased with my 4.12kWh today, best since 20th November, although 22nd December was very good for the time of year. Unbroken sunshine from dawn to dusk. Yesterday I got 0.17kWh! 2kWp system, SSE facing in north Sussex. I suffer from shading in the afternoon when the sun is low, otherwise I probably would have got more like 6kWh.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

You must have a heck of a lot of shading then, unless there is some other problem (or you live on the Orkneys!)

Great generation day today, best since mid-November. 10.33kWh on a 3.22kWp system.

Already smashed the yearly estimated figures of 2700kWh with 2855kWh and still 3 months to go. Should reach 3350kWh+ by the end of march. :j

Trees certainly affect your panels. One of our neighbours has a bloomin great poplar tree a few gardens away from us - luckly more west than east. I keep looking at it and willing it to look as though its leaning - how many years do they live for, anyone know. Someone said in another thread that they rot from the inside out, so at the slightest bit of a lean, I'll be round & let them know. They won't see it, but we could.

Even with this, we were well up on predicted yearly output - 8 KWh today.

shading makes a massive difference from my experience

my neighbour has very similar system to me and same south facing roof but is partially shaded by 3 trees at this time of year

on "good" sunny days im making 6-7 times his output

but on really bad days were quite similar, he even beat me one day so far ;)

it will be interesting to see how we compare in the summer, as my roof is a bit steeper than his
