Mine's quite accurate, displays down to 50W and seems to be pretty good at that level too as individual low power devices such as a CFL have the expected effect on the display.

I've been in contact with Owl. Their response is as follows:

The device needs a background load of at least 40W to function properly. Accuracy is completely unspecified below 1A (essentially below 240W). Once up into a usable band, it can discriminate down to 14W changes.

Thanks for sharing. That's good to know.

I had pretty well disgarded all my night-time readings of 0.084kW after which I found I was within 5% of the generation meter readings, so this makes sense.

What is the normal spread on specific annual yield? This isn't a measure that I've got my head round yet.

My Sunny Delight is telling me that I've achieved about 300 kWh/kWp which is strangely different to the figure you quote, and we've only been up and running for a few weeks. I've just checked and I've got the kWp set correctly.
    Hi

Have you used PVGIS to estimate your monthly targets ? .... (http://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvgis/apps4/pvest.php) ... use the Climate SAF PVGIS dataset ...

The calculation of the output looks a little high .... if you have a 4kWp system then 300kWh/kWp would mean that you've produced 1200kWh in the couple of weeks you've had it .... can we all move to your back garden and bring our panels with us please ? :D ..... depending on your particular setup you would normally expect somewhere around 1kWh/kWp per day for the last couple of weeks and less than that with the cloud cover we've had recently, therefore a 4kWp would likely have recently been averaging ~3kWh/day.

    Postscript:

the OWL unit is reading well over 2300 kW production, which is nearly double the previous recorded peak of 1300kW.

    WOW!

    Drop the 'k' please;)

    Good spot, duly noted.

November generation, big drop from October (as to be expected)

75.7 kWh projected, 86 kWh generated (up 11% on Nov 2010 generation)

Total generation (since installation) still running at just over 122% of predicted figures.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

IIRC I got them from a website that Zeupater (I think) recommended, but it was so long ago now I can't remember exactly... I remember having to input various info and then I just copy & pasted the results into my spreadsheet (:o)
