Oil filled radiators are not the answer.

I had to do without my heating for three weeks when I needed a new oil boiler in the middle of winter one year.

The electric bill shot through the roof in just those three weeks.

Oil filled rads might not be the answer , but if the child has autism I dont think he would be safe in a room with a woodburner, they get so dam hot he could cause himself serious injury.............

Plus woodburners are definately not cheap to run unless you get a free supply of wood........

This may not be a problem but you do realise that a woodburner is very time consuming to run and hard work physically? As you obviously have a lot on your plate, this might be too much for you.
