Hello everyone...I'm still doing the challenge, I've just been busy with loads of other stuff:
* Selling stuff, to make money for parts for the car, because it's decided to have some sort of attempted car suicide..
* Looking after myself, and taking it easy, got a virus, passed out lots then a week later when I thought I was getting better starting getting pains in my chest and hip. Turns out the virus had left me with a weird infection in my chest bone cartilidge etc., and I have Reactive Arthiritus in the hip (I was a bit gutted because I'm only 35). Good news though, apparently it only lasts roughly three months. So lots of painkillers and making funny sounds when I stand up
. Apparently I've got to have to have blood tests too. Good times (that's sarcasm in case you hadn't guessed).
Apart from that were still plodding on with the challenge. I plan to update you all with something a bit more exciting in a week or so :rotfl:.
Hope you're all having a good day..
P.s. there's a new program starting on Channel Four called Superescrimpers perhaps it'll be worth a watch:rotfl:
.

That sounds yuk! I've got arthritus but manage most of the time without any form of painkillers and I'm only 37.
Good luck with the car - whats up with it, I have some working knowledge of them as have had many older cars to keep going.
One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
Total £9.120 -
Love the pot by the way!!!:D
Just wanted to wish you all luck!
Just like you we've (i.e me and OH) decided that we were going to attempt to fix (break) and live our lives the mse way.
Last year we changed the oil , filter, tyres and a few other bits.
We were going to attempt to change the exhaust, but through scouring scrap yards and such, its cheaper for us to go to a garage. strange but true.
In the next couple of months yours truly and the handy man i.e my blokey will be be attempting another service, rewiring the back windscreen justin time for the MOT. Which hopefully should go through with flying colours.
Hows it going with linux?
Were using ubuntu at the mo, its great even a moron like me managed to figure how to put music on! The version before we had, well i had no chance.
The old man is attemping to build a working pc form the bits of parts we have, we now have three case with various parts. Its like a garage in our house!
But hey ho if we get a third pc for next to nothing i'll be happy, in case our newish one blows up.
P.S hope your feeling better soon, i laughed yesterday, a 70 yr old woman said to me "love i think you need my walking stick, your look worse than me"/Thanks love thats just what i wanted to hear at the age of 28 with mild arthrits.:o0 -

I don't know if yuk, is the way I'd describe it...A lot of surreal days were had :rotfl:. The wife was well impressed, when I apparently fell asleep, while she was talking to me. I'm surprised I woke up with all of my bits 'n' bobs
.
I've had surgery for other things, which were painful, but this is niggling, irritating, wear you down slowly pain . On the plus side, it should only last for up to three months, in a worst case scenario :T.Good luck with the car - whats up with it, I have some working knowledge of them as have had many older cars to keep going.
Brakes need doing and the C.V. joint/ driveshaft . Good times. I'll need all the luck I can get,
I'm going to have to do the work myself to cut down costs...

Thanks for the good luck kezlou.
We had been using Ubuntu on the other machine that started 'packing up'...I managed to sell all the bits 'n' bobs for more than I paid for the whole machine - good times :rotfl:. Anyway, I found another one at a car boot, he thought he was offloading something non working...I had a couple of hard drives at home spare anyway (from previous projects). It had no recovery discs, and wasn't this years latest all flashing all singing, uber modern case. It also had an old looking monitor. Mine for only £22 - after haggling :rotfl:  :rotfl:.
Got it home wiped the drive with Dban...started it up and all okay...It only had 512mb of ram, but that was okay, I had some spare that was due to be sold, so I stuck that in. It's now got 2.5gb :T. I plan to stick Ubuntu on it, I prefer it to W*****s now anyway.
I hope to sell the monitor in a future car boot for £10 + to recoup some of the money spent too. I know a bit crafty that hey?
You have my sympathy on the Arthritis front. Good luck with the car too kezlou...
As for you Footiemad, thank you. As for stalking me, oooooo, you haven't got one of those scary long macs (**coughs - ahem**)? If you haven't were safe :rotfl::rotfl:. My mammy told me not to trust suspicious looking strangers...
