Oh, inventive ways of cleaning the light shade without standing on the bed cos Toots tells me off for doing that, of course! What did you think I thought you meant??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I got that sorted, I have to stand on a chair on the bed to reach my light shade! (high ceiling I am not a gnome).. I hand OH the soft brush and say 'do that for me please'.. and he does cos he is lovely and accomodating like that.. and he tells me off for struggling to do stuff he can do easily.

Ladies, can I ask you a question, which I suppose is kinda flying-related as its about getting organised.

Is it worth buying a Breadmaker - or is it a novelty I will never use??

    xxx
I wouldn't be without mine; we were given our original one (belonged to a friend who upgraded to a fancier one, and as his old one still worked, he gave it to us). When it finally expired, I was lost til we got another.

Mr LW takes sandwiches to work every day and much prefers HM bread to what he calls "plastic" bread. My paws are too creaky to knead bread by hand, and I must admit, I love that I can chuck everything in the BM and let it get on with it!

I do sometimes just do dough in the BM, and make bread rolls; I also use it to make my own pizza dough.

    :hello:Hi ladies!

Decluttered a day at work - only three more Wednesdays, then I get a second free day a week!! DD has washed up - after making pizzas for lunch - at 4.30pm?? free-indifferent-smileys-746.gif

I have washed, but not yet tumbled, the bedlinen for the main bedroom. DD has worked really hard putting all the stuff back in her room - although she found it didn't all fit back, so has decluttered even more! This means that the main bedroom can now be sorted again. I'll start that on Friday. Several more adverts on freegle and a couple of trips to the Oxfam bookshop I think. I want to buy a small oak bookcase too, but I'm really short of cash this month...

Going to read for a bit, and then start dinner - lemon garlic chicken tonight.

Love and hugs, especially for toots, lady liberty and lamewolf, and also for all our poorly flyladies, and those mums with poorly flybabies. (I remember the year mine all had chicken pox one after the other, and I spent what felt like the whole of January and February with a sickly child on my lap - a neighbour delivered a carrier bag full of Disney videos - I was incredibly grateful!)

I have had my breadmaker for about 4 years :D I have used it on and off for the whole of that time (I am a bit like that anyway - really into something, then find something else to get into etc etc so things get dropped and picked up again all the time :o)

Everyone in my house loves fresh bread but you can also do dough for rolls, pizza bases etc plus make different cakes etc in it. I think it is worth it, but only if you have the room (you can make all of the stuff you make in a breadmaker by hand, really) HTH

On a fly-ladying note, have been slightly scuppered as went to visit sis this morning then looking after my niece since 4-ish....getting my butt back in gear now, though and making dinner while emptying wm and loading td ;)

It's what I should do, I know. Mr LW willingly does any job I have problems with. My trouble is admitting that this creaky old bod won't do all the stuff it used to.

Mr LW would tell me off for struggling to do stuff too, but he's at work at the time, so he doesn't see me do it.;)

Lots of ironing done, dinner done and scoffed. Going to have 5 mins, then I think 10 more minutes ironing should see it done.
    WM and TD on(mostly towels).
I also need to do the dishes and S+S the kitchen........

We use ours all the time - probably at least every third day and wouldn't be without it. Ours doesn't just do bread - it does all sorts of fancy stuff which I've never done but will have to look into.
