Depends on model, some are CDMA, not GSM...Something like the 9800 from AT&T does, which one you thinking of specifically?

Hi, Hoping all you Blackberry lovers will be able to help me - there is ALOT of conflicting info on the internet!!

I would love to get a Blackberry. Having recently moved from the USA to the UK - I would like to use Skype to keep in touch with friends for free (Skype to Skype). Can I get Skype on a Blackberry or will I have to go for an Android?

    Any help very much appreciated.

Best deal for Skype IMHO is to get a ZTE F102 from PCWorld for £20 and then get a Three sim card (can be have for free) as it gives you free Skype to Skype calls. I haven't used it so not sure about the details but I think it's worth a try!

Skype have just enabled video calling on their iPhone apps, the iPhone 4 with its front-facing camera is brilliant if you're looking for always being online and available for a video chat, it works to pretty much any device, even the iPod Touch.

I have 2 personal email addresses, 1 work, 1 uni. The uni one is pretty heavy with lecture slides and thing being sent out.

I get 500mb of data off O2. I don't think I've ever been close to 100mb. I download apps, stream musics and all sorts.

No idea how it ends up so low! Someone told me the Blackberry Enterprise Server compresses the data so it's billed as less :) Although that may not be true! I've never verified it as I've never had the need to!

Also, Skype isn't in the BB App store and can't be found on here
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-mobile/
so I'm fairly sure you can't use it on BlackBerry

I love mine - I've just switched from the Nokia E63 (basically their BB ripoff) which I did love, but the blackberry's just so much more stable and easy to setup with my email - and gmail synching actually works properly on it. I miss one thing - which is my Nokia had a torch function which was incredibly handy when walking up and down our side alley - but it's a cracking little phone.

All blackberries which have a flash have a torch function on them.

Go in to video cam mode and then press down on the space bar :) If you have a pearl it might be something else, but I'm sure that function is there.

I used the torch on my 9700 to search for a girls wedding ring down the drain one time XD
