I changed from a Windows phone to a BB about 6 months ago, would not want to be without it now, it is by far the most stable smart phone I have ever had/used. It just works! No problems, no set up issues, they are well thought out and well designed. There are plenty of free apps in the BB app store, as well as paid for ones.
Mine gets used for the normal day to day business stuff, I also have a bluetooth headphones for using it as an MP3 player, it connects into my car kit without a problem every time!!! I leave the wifi and bluetooth on all the time and only have to charge the phone over night, which is better then any other phone with wifi I have used, most you have to turn on whe you want it or it drains the battery within a couple of hours.
I have played with a, iphone, but they were not my cup of tea, I prefer a proper keyboard rather then a touchscreen one.
But, each to their own!0 -
Call me shallow if you want but the design of the iphone simply doesn't appeal to me. I like the BB Qwerty keyboard and overall look
I would go for the BB because I think the iphone is a bit gimmicky (compass app, anyone ?) and the BB is more straightforward if all you want is to place calls/get your emails/get your life organised.
Also, I have heard of signal issues with the iphone, no problem with Orange/T Mobile on BBKeep calm and carry on0 -
I have the Blackberry Curve 8520 in lilac and I love it, I'd be lost without it! Very easy to use, and Blackberry Messenger is great for keeping in touch too! Only thing that I can say negative about it is that the camera doesn't have a flash, but it's not too much of a problem!
Never seen the fascination with iphones - there always seems to be some sort of problem or glitch with them. Yesterday most people I know who have the iphone were having problems with their alarm clock...the problem seems to change daily!

I love mine - I've just switched from the Nokia E63 (basically their BB ripoff) which I did love, but the blackberry's just so much more stable and easy to setup with my email - and gmail synching actually works properly on it. I miss one thing - which is my Nokia had a torch function which was incredibly handy when walking up and down our side alley - but it's a cracking little phone.
My mum got one for her work on the local council - liked it so much they promptly upgraded all their staff phones for their business to Blackberries as well - even my stepfather who'd use a house brick and pretend it's good to save some cash - swears by his.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Assuming they haven't limited you to just the iphone or blackberry there is more choice out there.
I would pop instore and see what they really have to offer and if they made me pick one of those I would look elsewhere.0 -

I have a blackberry pearl which im glad to say is one of the best phones ive ever had. I did have the blackberry curve 8250 which I found very fiddly to use. The sound quality on blackberrys is grea,t the tones nice and loud and with the pearl it comes with a 2g memory card inside useful if you download a load of music. Ive had touchscreens and I must admit I find them a pain to do something quickly on and the screen cracks easily hope this helps0

Hi, Hoping all you Blackberry lovers will be able to help me - there is ALOT of conflicting info on the internet!!
I would love to get a Blackberry. Having recently moved from the USA to the UK - I would like to use Skype to keep in touch with friends for free (Skype to Skype). Can I get Skype on a Blackberry or will I have to go for an Android?
Any help very much appreciated.0 -
