It's not a quiet frequency, even some baby alarms work on the same frequency, (as well as legal garage doors).0 -

does that make my nans chordless door bell illegal, cos i can set of many chimes with my car fob, ill have to check where it was made then and give her the bad news.
minnie, you dont have to explain yourself, somepeople take gratifacation out of others down falls, we've all met the likes of gene_hunt in forums farr and wide and they seem to dissapear after a few months with no trace of an account of that name.
there was a thread just before christmas that turned out quite distastefull and racism remarks were made (not saying gene was main instigater) that post is now under investigation dur to the content, im sure that MSE Martin and his abuse team will decide fates of accounts over that one soon.0 -
^^ It's illegal if it's transmitting at a higher than allowed level.
On another note, this also means anyone with a car keyfob could potentially open your garage door.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

the way iv seen it and many may or may not agree, the actual fob for the garage is transmitter, then the garage's door is the RECIEVER same as a car, car is reciever fob is a transmitter, in order for the code to be lost on the car and read by the garage in my mind would be the battery in the transmitting key fob was, maybe, running low to the point wich made the garage reciever (operating on a low frequency) "find" the signal and store it hence operating the door? and not operating the car same and same goes as the van (cold weather does mind boggling things to electricals) so in my opinion the car fob operates on a higher frequency than the garage fob untill battery runs low or cold weather sets in.0 -
But nobody managed to steal it.

I know mate
Just saying. If the fob can do wierd things like this, it makes one wonder on how secure they actually are.
OP just for security, Disable the wifi/3G on your mobile just incase your fob tries to "start" your phoneIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
