    Thanks I will try that....

Phone them first as most CABs have appointment systems and they will give you one with the relevant expert on disputes with landlords,

what i can't understand is how the hell a car fob will re-program itself to another wireless device.

It makes no sense at all

Try and reprogram the keys on the honda.
    instructions here:

    http://www.programyourkeys.com/Honda.html

If it was me I would do this well away from the electric gate or garage.

remember to do all the keys (spares)

I reckon something has reprogrammed everything within it's proximity.

That worked!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

Thanks I will try that. My OH asked the question on another site and they think someone may have tried to steal the car last night using a scanner that uses different frequencies to open vehicles.

Just as well they didn't steal it then if you left it unlocked.

My landlord is my Grandad who lives in a care home he has one leg and alzheimers - I will go and bother him with it. Thanks

Surprised he can manage his landlord duties from what you say - nevertheless you have tenants rights, so no need to lose any of these.

I know it's a bit strange but on the Civic site someone said it sounds like someone has used a scanner to steal the car(whether that is what actually happened I don't know). I followed that link and we have managed to reprogramme the remote.

I don't really understand what your problem is - I have just asked a question on here to see if anyone knew the answer before I had to pay to get and expert out or get my car towed to Honda??

If you think this is my only prob you are very much mistaken and you are being quite spiteful. I work full time and I also care for my mum who has fibromyalgia and me and also my father who had a stroke last year - they are not together so that makes it very difficult.

I also suffer with depression and trying to support my sister who is in an abusive relationship.

But I suppose I have my electric gates to make up for all that.
    well said that man

It will be the garage door that is the problem.

the keys are fairly passive and will just do what they are told.

See if it happens again tonight,if it does then get the garage door system checked.
