How can you "almost guarantee" that?! You know nothing about me!! Very odd thing to say! But generally you will agree men have higher insurance premiums than women.
I don't need to know anything about you.
Oh, and I can also almost guarantee that the cover that I get for less than you is far better than yours.

I don't see what your getting at ?
are you saying the kid crashed the car and broke a bone on purpose ?
Of couse that's not what I am saying! I just wondered what the difference was (in regards to who is liable) to a child running into your car when it was parked up and causing damage, and running into a car when it was moving and causing damage.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Why? Will you be able to help the OP any further?0 -

You can't expect to get an answer to this that you can rely on in court, we are all warned about taking advice from posts in the forums here.
But you can often get free legal advice on such vexing motoring issues if you are a member of the big motoring organisations.
If you aren't a member, here's a MSE suggestion for you - you could ask round your mates till you find someone who is who can enquire for you.
(By the way, why are you so interested in this conundrum?)0 -

The child has caused the damage. No one is disputing that.
But just like a deer hitting you there is no real way of getting a kid to pay if they don't want to.
So for situations like this we have insurance.
Same as if they had climbed a tree over your parked car and fell out onto the car roof causing £1800 worth of damage.0 -

Gosh its like an old boys club in here!
After reading this thread, it just made me wonder what would happen if a child ran into your car and damaged it when its parked on the road, would you have to cough up yourself, or expect parents to pay. I just can't understand the difference between damaging a car when its stationary or moving. I'm not going to get an answer on here (not that I need one for any reason!):heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

You talk of deers and kid's in one post.
Kid's are young goats and she's already confused.0 -
