I would also like to say to those unhelpful people that one day when you are out on the raod and this happens to you, I wonder if you will still feel the same.

I will not feel the same, I don't have a £500 excess on my insurance. :)

I am of course thankful that the girl is OK but that does not mean that she should not be held accountable for her actions. I am sure if I had been going one mile an hour over the speed limit I would be in court paying her lots of money as I would have been in the wrong. Yes at the end of the day it is just money but after you take into account of increased premiums, hire car etc it will be almost £1000. I sadly do not have that kind of money just lying around. All I wanted was a little help.

Some of you people really do disgust me.

Why because you didn't want to hear the truth?

Taking about taking a girls virginity in such a way is horrible. I have had enough with this discussion.
  • Although it is hitting you financially I think you should see the wider picture and just how much worse it all could be had the first two girls ! They ( and you) could be seriously injured or even dead ! If the 3rd girls family were inclined to voluntarily make a contribution they would have done so - as it is they may not even have considered it as they will be worrying about their daughter with a broken collarbone ! There seems to be no way of contacting the girls family to find out either way ... so I cant really see what you can do about it sadly - it does seem unfair, but as I said...count your blessings !
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

A 14 year old girl pedestrian ran into the side of your car and did £1800 worth of damage?
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Some people on here have a very strange sense of humour. Joking about a 14 year old girls virginity?

Op I can understand why you would be annoyed, if you weren't held to blame and have a large bill due to somebody else's stupid actions (and it was stupid at 14 years old to run across a busy road) I wouldn't be to happy either. Why can't people take responsibility for their own actions, or if they are a child, then the parents should take responsibility. Seems very unfair to me.
