  • I also received this email yesterday (03/01/2011) I did call the number but most of the time it went straight to voicemail. I then called again and this man answered, he didn't give his name but told me to call back later as he was on the other mobile. I have been trying since but then come across this article here so feel a bit worried now :(

    CHARITY REG NUMBER
    1137830

  • I mailed the guy last night asking a couple of questions, and got this reply early this morning.
What do you make of it?

I asked why the charity name that the registered number belongs to, differed from the one in the mails?
and why everyone that had been offered the vacancy, had the same fundraiser number?

    This is the reply.

"hello the answer to your question is all the numbers are bulk mailed out to the people we want to work for us in each area once they call us we explain the job offer in full ,we are a registered charity and we have been checked out by the job centre thoroughly,we only use that email address as a reply email to you so you can contact us if you wish to call me you can on my mobile number provided each crb is done individually so once you have spoken to us if you wish to proceed it totally up to you if you wish to proceed,If you require any more information please call me and i shall clear up any questions you may have thanks"

Check out the brilliant grammar once again and the lack of full stops etc. You'd have thought that someone who has the brain to plan scams, would have also had some education?
