Hi all, I'm new so apologies if I'm in the wrong place!
I've recently applied for a job as a fund-raiser (found it on Direct.gov website) and I've just had a reply, there was a few spelling mistakes and they have a gmail email address, I've goggled the charity name 'Crisis 4 Kids UK' but it doesn't bring anything up, Something just doesn't ring true, anyone heard of them?

Perhaps weed them out by asking for the Terms and Conditions mentioned? does seem rather odd if you cannot find it on google and does not have landline?
EDIT: Cannot find them on the official charity commisions website

No it is a mobile number, the post was on the direct giv website so when I applied I assumed it was legitimate as they check them out first but now I'm really not sure, If they had a charity number why would they not include it?Money Saving Tip #1. Stay OFF the grabbit thread!

They don't check them out, you can occasionally find some right dodgy stuff on directgov.Ryliesmummy wrote: »No it is a mobile number, the post was on the direct giv website so when I applied I assumed it was legitimate as they check them out forst but now I'm really not sure, If they had a charity number why would they not include it?
Any half-baked, backward charity would at least:
 - include their charity number
 - be capable of compiling a simple email without such appalling errors
They're trying to create an air of urgency in the email too, so you phone them, quickly before their advert is removed. In fact, I just tried to find it on the site and couldn't immediately find it, so maybe it's been pulled already.0

Well, if you try to follow their conflicting advice, then you can't until Tuesday.Ryliesmummy wrote: »It was a few weeks ago I applied so that might be why, I want to phone them but I daren't lol
 First he says 72 hours.
Then he says between 4th and 7th
 Then he says Mon-Fri 9-5
I know it's tempting, but a friend came to me last week with a similar enquiry that I investigated and it was some sham/scam.
Do what you want to do, but just don't get sucked into anything.... and report back any findings, for anybody else with the same dilemma.
My money's on: stay well away.0
