Brrrr it's cold today:o Glad we went to the fair yesterday not today.
We had a good day - I spent the £21 getting girls in, £4 entry for me (just to watch:eek:) and the other £6 went on a coffee (that was so awful I didn't drink it) and lunch for dd2. My niece's dad came too - he was very kind and bought me 2 coffees and a burger for dd1.
It took so long to get back through all the after-work traffic that I couldn't be bothered to cook - so bought dd2 and I fish and chips for £6 (we shared fish and a sausage;)) and £2 on a lasagne in T's for dd1. So not too bad really.
I've been fiddling about with my money - the bills account has got too low:o It's because I know that card number by heart so if I ever buy anything online I use that account...and then don't cover what I've spent from anywhere else - bad:o So, the remaining £30 in my spending account has been moved over as has £70 of savings (booo). But, I had the extra expense of my final E-On bill (£112, grr) and 1st car insurance payment (£45ish). I think the bill account will be fine now.
I just rang Sky and cancelled the movies too...we just never watch them - not enough to warrant an extra £15 on my bill - why I didn't cancel sooner I don't know:mad: So, new monthly payment to them will be £32 from next month.
Not a huge amount is left to come out of the bills acc this month apart from rent. Sky at £42, Council tax at £56, my phone £33 and girls 2 phones £25ish, and my phone insurance £7. This week should be low spend - off to my sis on Saturday and Mum's on Sunday so fed there:) Home on Monday evening. May take girls to cinema on Wed, if there's anything we fancy.
I have about 9 things on ebay - a few watchers but not much...nothing listed is going to make me much, I've run out of decent stuff to sell - bah:rotfl:
OK, off to tidy up and warm up a bit hopefully.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning:D
Nothing much planned for today - plenty of thinks I could be doing though round the house, need to not have a lazy day like yesterday:o
DD1 is off to the fair again - we're going halves this time so I'll give her £10 for her day, she can pay the rest. It's cold and wet though - rather her than me outside all day.
DD2 wanted to make Easter biscuits at some point so today's probably the best day for that. It'd be nice to take her out but it all involves spending so will stay in and bake instead;)
The sewing machine is boxed up ready to go back:o I had a look at the instructions and was a bit flummoxed - I just think I won't use it enough to warrant the £75 spend...much as I'd like it, it's just the amount:o So maybe I'll return that today.
I need to do a meal plan for next week and then think about when I'll go shopping for the bits we'll need. As we're away all weekend there seems no point shopping tomorrow - Tuesday will probably be the day.
OK, I need to get myself dressed, and not be as lazy as I was yesterday:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooops, not been on in a while....did anyone notice though?!?!:rotfl:I must start my new diary soon...new decade, new diary and all that - hopefully more people might join me then:D
Anyway - had a pretty low spend holiday so far. Saved £50 of last weeks weekly spends and £30 of the week before. We're off shopping today, buy girls some new bits for the Spring, and have a nice lunch.
Tax credits in today and are £6 more each week:beer:
I've been debating over the iPad2:o:o I have £115 cash - birthday money and a few £2 coins I collected. I have £70 in Amazon vouchers, £40 from Onepoll - that's £225. I have my Kindle on ebay - hoping to get around £60 for that and I returned the sewing machine that I had saved weekly spends for ... so really I have got the money, I'm just watching the price on Amazon - going up and down eachday;) We'll see.
I have quite a few bits ending on ebay tonight so will be keenly watching those tonight.
Ok, must go and get ready:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

No news on the house? I guess no notice is good news, maybe they've changed their minds about wanting it back?

Got our 2 months notice today:(
We're looking at a house tomorrow - the house looks amazing, but it's not in our village - it's in the next one so it'll mean driving to work every day and girls would have to walk to school (a bit of a trek so can see me driving them too). Also, the area it's in isn't the best.
There's just nothing else around that is right for us. I want to stay with my current agent to cut out any need for refernces, and with me getting HB I just want to keep it easy.
So, tomorrow we shall go and see it and see what we think - we have had a look today at the area...could be better, where we live now is lovely, but the house does look immaculate.
Urgh, I just want it to be simple:o:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
aw love so sorry. Fingers crossed its what you want or if not that something else comes up soon xDF as at 30/12/16

I noticed you'd gone AWOL too!
Sorry about the house situation. There always seems to be a compromise unless of course you're rich.
Our house is in a nice area but we have hardly any garden and no parking. I guess that's my compromise.
I know you're on a bit of time limit but please please please think carefully about the area you move to. The last place I bought was in an awful area. I could have made it the fabbiest house in the street (it was still quite Ok inside and it was nice once we were indoors) but I hated the thought of going back there every evening. You shouldn't feel like that about a home.
Good luck - something will sort itself outIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I agree with polesalot, remember after the 2 months if you haven't found anywhere they still need to go to court to get possession which will take a minimum of a month to get a court date and then the judge will give you a minimum of 1 month to leave after that. Hope it doesn't come to that but if you don't find the right place... xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning:D
Well, the house is gorgeous - it's immaculate, big and just perfect for us. The area isn't the best, but it's not that bad - it's hardly inner city:o And to be honest, in my situation, I could have found myself in an authority house with no choice over where I go. There's a downstairs loo, utility area, study room downstairs too - as well as the much longed for 3 bedrooms - all for not much more rent at all and council tax band is one lower. Yes, I'll use the car more but it'll take me 5m to drive to work, it's not far at all.
So, I need to fill the form in and post it through the agents door later on. I'm going to T's anyway so I'll do it then.
I must have a very low food shop as the grocery account only has about £90 in it for the next 2 weeks. I have my £5 off a £40 spend at T's so I want to get it as close to £40 as poss - probably buying a few non-perishables as my list is quite small.
My HB has gone up a bit too, as well as TCs, just about £5 a week, but that all helps. I must be very, very frugal from not til we move. Unfortunately I have both girls birthdays in May:o
Just cleaned out the fridge, emptied it and scrubbed the shelves and drawers. Need to go shopping soon and have a hoover round.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
that's brilliant pix!!!! :T so happy for you!
Did the agent say if there has been much interest or is it likely to be very smooth & swift?
If you need any help with the packing/moving let me know I wouldn't mind a jolly down your wayDF as at 30/12/16
