Or register with all the estate agents/letting agents so you get first dibs on anything that comes up? I was told that loads of stuff that gets on the internet has already been refused by people.
Good luck with OnePoll too....so close! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

STILL on £39.95 with Onepoll:( Grrrr, I only got offered one survey yesterday...got through a few questions then screened out when they asked the city I live nearest to, annoying;)
Anyway - NSD yesterday. I just bought milk, Easter biscuits and more hot cross bun loaf - out of the last couple of pounds in the grocery acc:D
I've just found new car insurance - went with Sainsbugs, for hopefully £50 cashback and got free breakdown cover for the year too - one thing I don't have, never renewed it when it expired a while ago. £22 a month - I paid in full last year as I had all my student finance, so bit of a bind to have another direct debit, but Im not using my savings just to save £20 over the year:o
One load of washing was done last night and another is on now all to go on the line, lovely. Only 1 full day of work left til the holidays...woooo:beer: Can't wait for 2 long weeks off!
So, tomorrow the grocery account with be back up to £250 - though I am going to try a lot harder with keeping it down. It's hard though - as I go round T's I see prices creeping up....frustrating. Co-0p have a few good offers on right now, of stuff we do usually buy so will pick up a few things there. I might even consider using Sainsbugs as I now get extra nectar points from taking my car ins out with them and we have a nice new store only about 10mins away. Might be worth a try:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
You have reminded me that I need to renew my home insurance coincidentally it is with sainsbugs at the mo and last time I got about £70 cashback too.
Grrr to OnePoll - I swear it knows when you are near target.
Have you got an A1di or Lid1 near you? I have saved serious amounts on my food shop doing it this way. You don't get any loyalty points and they don't deliver but I reckon I save £15-£20 per week this way. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Bl00dy annoying Onepoll - STILL on £39.95:mad: I had 2 surveys yesterday morning but screened out of both and nothing at all since - so, so irritating. It knows I only need 1 survey to hit payout;)
I gave in yesterday and bought the sewing machine:o I'm glad I did wait though as I found one on Arg0s at half price to £75....courtesy of pennygrabber's diary actually, I can't take the credit:D It's still in the car though, will get it out over the weekend i think. I did save £100 a couple of weeks ago and had £39 of TCs left this week, so I have it covered.
Not much else to report - one more early start then I'm on my hols. Girls have finished today so tomorrow morning will be easier as just me to get ready and out, no nagging them to get up:) I'll be out at 12 too - lovely.
I do need to do food shopiing but need to think about where to go and when. I don't have a huge amount of petrol - probably just over £10...it says about 100 miles left. I really can't face queuing to get it though, but our local village station has run out - grrrrr:mad: I do need to drive on Saturday - take dd2 to a party and possibly into town and back so I probably could dothe shopping on the way back from dropping her, save a trip out tomorrow afternoon. Or, she could get the bus to town and I'll just go tomorrow when it's not so busy. I'll check how many are going to town, if it's more than 4 they can get the bus as I can't fit them all in the car anyway:D
Not heard a peep from the letting agent - no new houses available and no notice yet for us....hopefully I won't get notice until after rent's due, giving us another month - the more time the better;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

I am rubbish, I don't have any home insurance:o:o Keep meaning to do it, but now I'm waiting for the new address. I don't need buildings, just contents.
We have a L1dl, no Ald1 - I've never been in. I just go to the same Tesc0 each week, I know where everything I want is, I can whizz round. i really must be more adventurous and check out Lid1. I did get a few offers from co-0p today...things I'd buy anyway in T's that were half price - mini cheddars, sharw00ds korma sauce, my dairyfree spread, own brand kit-kats - some good buys:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well what a surprise - still on £39.95 on Onepoll:mad: Only offered 1 survey today and screened out on 1st question. I'm getting very annoyed with it now.
So, here are the holidays - though I'm not feeling the excitement as I came over all funny at work this morning - felt really dizzy, losing my balance and just feeling spaced out. Came home and had a sleep but still feel it:o So, doing girls dinner and will pack myself off to bed early.
I did start the shopping onlinw - but can't bring myself to pay £5 delivery, so I will have to go there tomorrow. There are a few things I want that I can't find online so I may as well go look myself - something to do tomorrow afternoon. Yes - that's sad that T's is my only option of something to do on a Saturday afternoon:o
I spent around £4 today in the local shop on a sarnie (my Friday treat), loaf of bread and cans of coke for girls for the weekend. Ok, off to get their dinner dished up and then retire to the sofa:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Afternoon:D
I feel much better today - the dizziness has gone thank goodness:)
So, I've been to T's - total spends were £79:eek: But - £15 of that has been transferred from my spending account as I bought Easter eggs for my nieces at 3 for £5, 2 boxes of Maltesers for party pressies £2 (dd2 has a party tonight so can take 1) and I bought 2 bottles of John Fr1eda spray on hair lightener that I use - it was £6.99 for 1 - or 2 for £7.50. Much cheaper than going for highlights. Those 2 bottles will last me definitely til after summer. So total grocery spends £64 in T's, then spent £4 in co-op on the way back on p£psi that was £1 a bottle, the paprika bagged sauce stuff and 2 bars of galaxy for girls.
Next weekend we're at my sister's then mum's so won't eat here for 2 nights - I'll not need to go shopping for about 10days....hopefully:D
I collected a pair of wellies I ordered from T's and had delivered to the shop - but they're too big, grrrr. Might order another pair. I'm going on a school trip and we need some, I haven't got any. Or might just wait and get some hopefully in Asd@ near my sis next weekend.
Shopping is all scanned and put away, just having a cuppa and browse on here.
Still debating whether to keep the sewing machine or not - it's sat in the box, not opened:o Will I use it enough?! I'm just so scared spending too much, what with moving and also both my girls birthdays are in May...not cheap times coming up. I paid that £210 for dd's trip - ex says he'll pay, but I won't get it back straight away. I shall keep debating it with myself:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I'm glad you're feeling better. I get dizzy spells occasionally (I suffer with vertigo) but other times it's just when I'm stressed.
I've not done much else today other than go to the supermarket, library and housework so you are not alone
I have almost given up on onepoll. You'll get there on Monday

Afternoon:D
Nothing much going on today - dd2 returned home about an hour ago, dd1 still in bed:o
I have some towels in the wash, will go on the line soon. It's a lovely bright day but not as warm as it has been. I should cut the grass too, while it's quite dry - it's a bit of a jungle:o But, knowing I have to move has kind of killed off any motivation I had to keep the place nice:o:o Lazy moo;)
I have acleaned out the bread bin - it was a bit pongy! It's drying in the sun now. I have been meaning to do the cutlery drawer too as it's collected crumbs...lovely. I sound a right mucky slob today:rotfl:
Girls are going to cinema with their dad later and he has said he'll take them a bit earlier so they can eat first, which is great - saves me cooking:T It'll be freezer delights for me. That saves one meal on the planner - will have it another night.
With holiday meals, i think it's easier to just have the meals planned for the week but be flexible over which days we'll eat them on, depending on what we do and whether girls are in or out. Today was lasagne so will do that another night maybe. I won't tell dd1 it was the plan for tonight as it's her absolute favourite and she'll demand it tomorrow;) It's a bit of a faff, I much prefer doing plain old bolognese.
Think I'm going to go do the cutlery drawer out in the sun now.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
The sewing machine is still in the box - it's now moved from the boot of the car to the corner of the lounge though - promotion eh?!:rotfl: Still debating whether to keep it or not:) My sis laughed at me for buying it, I have to decide whether I'll use it enough.I really need to sort out a new signature!0
