I'm viewing one house on Wed morn, but the one we really want is on Rightmove but showing as already let...it's with my current agent so going to ring and check in the morni, i know it's been like that on Rightmove for a few weeks - fingers crossed it's all gone wrong and it's still available:)
Urgghhh...the thought of packing up and moving is not good at all...but I will be so happy to see my girls in their own rooms. I'm sure it'll work out for the best - i just hate the fact that today I don't know where I'll be living soon and when I'm going, weird:o:o
Oh noI hope the one you've seen is having some problems and you can get it. If not, I'm sure wherever you do move will be just right.
It would be lovely for your girls to have their own rooms, I imagine they are excited about it. I doubt my dd could share with anyone.
I know it's a hassle but look on it as a big adventure. I love moving and having new surroundings
If I lived nearer I'd be round to help you pack! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Thank you
I'm off to see my mum today soon, taking my niece home too. I'll update later - not had the best week:o
Hope you have a lovely day too - and you DNMS if you read this:A:A:AI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ok, I need to get back here, keep posting and not get too fed up with everything:o
I haven't felt like posting - just feel really unsettled and stressed with it all - I hate renting right now;)
Found out last night that the house has actually sold - in under a week, how often does that happen?!:( But, my letting agent haven't been asked to give me notice yet...and when they do it'll be 2months from my rent due date. Nexct rent's due on April 13th so if they give me my notice then we will have until the 12th of June. I still feel soooo panicky though as there's nothing in our village at the moment.
I've had a few wobbly moment during the last week but must keep positive and know that something will come up...I jst hate this uncertainty:o:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Anyhooo, I need to keep focused on not spending and just be a good MSE-er:D
I haven't driven the car since SUnday...all good on the petrol spending front. The good weather doesn't half make it easier to walk to work;) I've not spent since the weekend either - well, I had a few grocery spends today, but they were essentials - bread, milk and sausage casserole mix. I did buy girls a little Lindt egg for 50p each so I'm not calling today an NSD.
Bought a few new tops over the last week, but all off ebay:D I had bought some work trousers too, but the condition was not as good as she made out so I politely told her and got a full refund:T With the refund I bought a cardi for work - was going to buy one in h+m the other day but glad I didnt as used the refund money.
I must get my grocery spends down. I read a few other diaries - and polesalot and pennygrabber both spend a lot less than me, I feel a bit embarrassed about spending £60-odd a week, I'm sure it could be less.
I also need to get more stuff on ebay - not really got anything worth much any more, but have a few decent pairs of jeans that I photogrphed this morning so might sit and list them from my phone later on.
Last week, I managed to have a no-spend week (apart from groceries) - all of my allocated £100 from tax credits went from my spending account into savings - was very pleased with myself:) This week, I have £24 left in my account tonight which will go to savings tomorrow as new TCs go in. I had wanted to use some of the £100 for a sewing maching but I'm still thinking about it. I have £105 cash and £31 in Amazon vouchers saved (cash was birthday money), with almost £20 to be claimed from Shop+scan and almost at my £40 Onepoll....been hankering after an iPad2, what with them dropping to £320....but again, I'm thinking about it;) What with all the uncertainty about moving I just think I should hang on a bit before I buy anything.
Onepoll - £38.25....so close:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Sorry you've had a rough week. I don't feel like posting when I'm fed up. I was going to Pm you tonight if I hadn't heard anything. there's a few other people I need to chase up too because I haven't heard from them. Mother hen me :rotfl:
I'm sure something will come up for rent soon. Try to put a positive spin on it and think of all the good things about moving. Lots of positive vibes coming your way and your dream house will come up soon. Have you got the zoopla and right move apps? i often have a nosey through them when I can't sleep at night
Your money situation seems good at the moment though. I would be inclined to not buy anything new and see how things pan out with the move - there's always unforeseen spends involvedIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
aw pixie glad ur back! Sorry the other house didn't turn out as you hoped x
I went mad for a couple of weeks too - consumerist escapism- but have been giving the fiscal fast a go and have just lived out of the cupboards for 5 days so far (last time I went shopping was 10 days ago). It really does help to reign it in if you've been spending loads! Makes it all feel back in balance.
Try not to fret too much, just be pragmatic. A pound of worry never bought an ounce of anythingx

Good luck for the house hunting, I can understand why its makes you feel vulnerable but just remember if you weren't so in control moneywise this could be a lot more stressful.
You'll be ok, its a huge hassel understandable but you'll sort it and I hope it turns out to be better for all 3 of you in your new home.
Try and keep posting, it will help keep you in control and keep you focussed when there is a lot of sorting to do with the move.
Take care0
