:T re maintenance. I reckon he'll go for the £300 per month. If he's done any research he'll know he could be clobbered for more than that from the CSA.
The rain was hammering against my front door last night. i don't think the wind was that bad unless I slept through itIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Yep, think he'll go with that too - I hope so as I'm fed up with the CSA - they have been no help whatsoever:mad: He owes loads of arrears but there's no chance of getting that so may as well just be happy with a decent monthly amount. It will certainly ease my money situation having a regular income from him - so pleased:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
So much for my great bargain with the Secret Santa pressie from Store twenty one - the order hasn't arrived yet..grrrr:mad: And we give out the pressies tomorrow...so too late. I had to nip out and bought a nice fruity shower gel to match a set of yummy lip balm pots that I got as the 3rd item in a 3 for 2 - knew it'd come in useful;) Also a mini bag of Thirnton's chocs...so looks like a nice gift. I don't know if the Store 21 order is coming - my order history says it's been released for despatch, but that was a week ago and no sign. no money has gone from the bank so who knows;) Luckily the other bits (scarf, ear muffs and earrings) were all extras so nothing desperate. It was a bargain for about £7 if it does arrive!
My gift wrap and frame from bhs arrived today, lovely paper and the frame is great (especially for £2.40 and will put a photo I had printed for nowt) - lovely looking pressie for the ex inlaws for not much money:D
A book I ordered for my friend's son arrived today - it had been rammed through the letterbox so was bent and the spine creased and torn. I've arranged to return it and Amazon are sending a replacement - was all very easy.
So - dd2 is asleep on the sofa (again!), dd1 upstairs so I'd better tidy up and get dinner made - just pasta bake with chicken, leftover gammon from last night and musgrooms...yum. My late start at work tomorrow - fab:jI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hooray, holidays have arrived:beer:
Had a quiet weekend so far - mum and stepdad came yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours, so a nice rest on the sofa drinking coffee, chatting and eating the mince pies dd2 made:D In the evening dd went for a sleepover - I just watched the Strictly final, dd1 was upstairs most of the evening.
I've just picked dd2 and her friend up - they look kn@ckered:o They're off to a fancy dress party later so need a bit of a rest first. I'm making lasagne for dinner, better get it started soon so there's no made rush and girls can eat before the go out around 6.
I've meal planned for next week - at the moment the shopping is booked online to come on Tuesday, but I'm thinking I'd rather go there and do it - see what bits and bobs we fancy. Luckily I don't have to buy Xmas day food as we go to my sisters, then mums and come home on the 27th...but need some nice nibbles/drinks for when we get back, and stuff for the rest of the week. So, I might rope dd2 into coming with me on Tuesday...we shall see.
My mum was asking about college...so I 'fessed up to having done b*gger all work for months and that I'm thinking do I just quit now:o I don't know - most of me wants to keep going but I am so unmotivated it's unreal, I *think* about doing it but never actually do so - I have until May with a fair bit of work left...actually quite a bit of work still left:D Might go see my tutor this week and try get my brain round it again.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning:p
Had to get myself up and in the shower early-ish as there's a man coming to fix the lounge door - the base of the door (the piece of wood) keeps dropping out and dragging along the floor.
We are off to town today, so the chap might come when we're out. Not a lot to get in town - girls are going to get my presents, have to buy dd2 shoes that her dad's giving her (easier if I get them, I know its the right ones then:o), need to buy paper for girls pressies and tags - couldn't believe I havent got any, couldnt do my wrapping last night with no tags!
DD1 is off out for a meal for her friend's bday tonight, we need to buy her friend a pressie. It shouldn't be a big spendy day;)
I cancelled the online shop for tomorrow - we shall brave the store oursellves! Not sure if dd2 is keen, but I'll persuade her;)
Ok, better go dry my hair and get dressed in case the man arrives - don't want to scare him:eek:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I'll be checking my emails obsessively today, hoping for a Next sale vip slot invite:D:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0

We make our own tags out of the previous year's xmas cards - last of the big spendersDon't want to waste money on tags when it can go towards booze

Morning:D
Had a lovely day yesterday - spent most of it at a teacher's house with a few other colleagues, drinking (non alcoholic) mulled wine - more warm fruity drink, yum - sitting in front of her open fire. I could have stayed there all day;)
I had my B12 jab in the afternoon - only 2 months late:o I really noticed it though, been feeling completely exhausted, even after a 9hr sleep I was feeling like I needed to lie down. My silly body doesnt absorb it (cos of the Crohn's), so I have a jab every 3 months (if I remember:o). So hopefully I'll be full of beans soon:j
Today we have my sis and her family coming - they should be here around 1. I have a load of nibbles, part bake rolls to pop in the oven, sausage rolls etc. So better get a move on as I'm still sat here in my dressing gown:)
Money wise - my bills account is looking very healthy - the £300 cheque from ex has gone in (it's not cleared but the balance looks good), wages went in too. I think HB will go in any day as it's due on Monday. Unfortunately it's all acounted for, but at the moment I look like I'm quite flush:D
I'm going to keep an eye on the grabbit board and the sales - I bought lots of goodies online at the Boots sale last year, I'm sure it was on Xmas eve - lovely gift sets that were great pressies during the year. Bro in law is getting a lovely one for Xmas this year:) I didn't get a Next vip slot - but really that's good, as I'd only have ordered a couple of hundred pounds worth of stuff that I really could live without:o I do want new boots, but I'll manage. 'Want not need' I think it's a case of....:rotfl:
Anyway, better go get my face on...don't want to scare anyone;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Meant to add - our family pressies are all wrapped and under the tree - just need to put bows and ribbons on, dd2 will help with that. I wrapped all of the girls' stuff while ex took them bowling the other night...just a few to do. I'll do that on Xmas eve as he's taking them to the cinema. So I'm feeling quite organised:D
DD2 wants to make peppermint creams - we've made them as gifts since girls were tiny, so it's a tradition - can't not do it now:p She did say she was doing it this morning before the family arrive, but she's still asleep - so it's not looking good for her:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0
