Had a good buy last night - saw it on the grabbit board, at store twentyone online. I bought myself a scarf £5, earrings for dd1 £4, my secret santa pressie (candle set) £5 and earmuffs for dd1 for Xmas £4 - with the codes and discounts that little pile came to just under £7:beer: Very pleased with that! I also bought girls a new bedside lamp each - lovely glass globe ones from Habitat with 20% off (which covered the delivery) - that order was £16.
Glad your DD's mouth is OK now. It all sounds pretty horrific if you ask me....
:T on your bargains. I really must put more time in on the Grabbit board

Ooops forgot to update:o
Had a pretty quiet week, not spending much. We collected dd1's glasses on Tuesday - nice £85 ones for nowt;) I did buy her some clothes in T0pshop...argh its not cheap...but she's going out for a meal tomorrow with friends and didnt have a pretty going out top. So got her one and new jeans...I can't say how much I spent:o:o But she said I can keep some of her ebay sales money (not much), and she did buy herself the boots for the outfit last week, so fair enough. Not cheap, teenagers;)
I was rather excited the other day as I got invited to join shop+scan. I filled in the online form and they said my scanner should come soon:beer: So, hopefully I'll earn some pennies there.
Early finish tomorrow so going for lunch with some other TAs - that'll cost under a fiver - then will go do the food shopping. I refused to do a shop this week as my grocery account was empty - so just spent £13 in co-op on Sunday on bits for the week...pleased with that! Now tax credits are in the grocery account is back up to £240 - I spend £4.40 this afternoon on some strawberries, bananas (for breakfast for dd2 and me for break tomorrow) and crisps for me that were bogof. I need to do a meal plan and list tonight ready for tomorrow's shopping.
Need a quiet weekend, no spending. Should be easy - girls out with their dad on Sunday and will just have a nice relaxing day at home on Saturday.
My poor accounts are all looking sad - roll on the new year when I shall get all organised and get counting NSDs and really saving money. I've been using the Am*zon cc so need to pay that back:o
Ok, time to tidy up and get rid of the box of decorations that's residing in the corner of the lounge, getting in my way:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooooh excitement - my shop+scan scanner thingy has just arrived - I'm easily pleased:j:j Off to read the user guide it came with;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0

This I am dreading
at the moment DD is not too bothered with loads of new clothes, although she does love her skinny jeans I bought her.
Keep us updated with the shop & scanner thingy. I keep seeing this and wondering if I should have a go.
Enjoy your TA meal out and your nice peaceful weekend

Just enjoying the peace here- dd1 upstairs, dd2 out with a friend. but no doubt I'll be summoned to go pick her up any time. the friend is staying here tonight too - I don't really like sleepovers but was feeling generous;) They sleep in the lounge so I have to step over them all morning tomorrow...!!
I did my food shopping yesterday - £91:eek::eek: I did spend £6 on blank cds, £4.50 on a tub of celebrations, £2 on sparkly craft bits for school...but still, that's a lot I know:o I guess I did only spend £13 last week on food so I needed to stock up on a few bits. I didn't even get any extras for Xmas...my stash has nothing in it - usually by now I've been stocking up on crisps, drinks, biscuits etc.
I dashed to town afterwards yesterday straight from T's and returned a top I bought dd1 and a hat for dd2. I just bought a differeent hat, reduced. I also got cards in M+S, amaryllis bulbs in pots for my mum and the ex m-i-l (they were £3). Bought dd2 some tights, me some vests!
I scanned all of my shopping (dd2 enjoyed doing it) - I've been credited with the points which are worth £10 (just for my first scan).
Looking forward to an evening of tv, with some wine, curry and Celebrations:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Do you have to use the scanner in a particular shop or do you just use it anywhere? I would feel a bit weird doing it. I don't like to draw attention to myself
although it seems worth it for a tenner! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

You have to scan everything that you buy - but you do it when you bring it all home:p So I just unpacked everything and quickly whizzed round with the clicker - took 5mins. For extra points you send scans/photos of the receipts so I'm just doing that now, I took the photos on my phone. It won't be £10 per shop unfortunately - but for that little bit of effort I'll do it:D I need every extra penny I can!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning:D
Today should be a nice, quiet day;)
Girls off to their dads for the afternoon, being fed a roast there too which is good, saves me cooking. I'll take dd2's friend home at 1 then ex collecting my 2 at 1.30.
While girls are out I'm going to dig out all of their pressies and see how they match up - I'm sure eldest has a bit more. I bought her the box set of Harry Potter DVDs for just £20...but dd1 doesn't have a pressie to match it I don't think. So - once I've sorted it all I can decide what needs to be bought (if anything much) and get it sorted.
Yesterday I bought the last of my family/friend gifts - ordered 2 lovely books for my friend's little boy - Rumble in the Jungle and Commotion in the Ocean - my dd2 loved these when she was little, I do miss all the lovely kids books now they are older:o I asked my mum for ideas for my step dad and from that I ordered him a pair of thermal gloves from M+S (pick up in store to save postage) - all Men's stuff had 25% off too:D I also ordered him a book he's seen on Amzon, a pen of his fave footie team and just need to get a wordsearch book. All sorted:T Will probably grab choccy/selection boxes for my nieces, sis and bro in law to go with their pressies. Really pleased it's done.
I also ordered very lovely wrapping paper sets from BHS - reduced from £10 to £5, 4 rolls, bows and curling ribbon in each. I got 2 sets and a photo frame for the ex mil reduced to £2.40 - to put one of my free photos I ordered from T's a while ago - nice one of girls on holiday.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Going to get some ironing done while I'm banished to the kitchen/dining room. DD2 and her friend slept in the lounge and are still there, playing on the wii, so they can have a bit longer before I want to go and get it back to normal:D
Just a week left of work...oh I can't wait for the rest:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Urghhh what a horrible evening outside:(
DD2 asleep on the sofa and I am exhausted so going to poke her and get her to stagger off to bed so I can do the same;) I just remembered this week that I was due my B12 injection - in October:o:o Ooops - hardly surprising that I'm shattered all the time then is it!? Must ring the doctor and get that booked in before Christmas, also want to see the doc as I'm still avoiding dairy and realise that that's not ideal if I'm not getting calcium elsewhere...my diet really isn't wonderful I know:o So want to get properly tested for lactose intolerance so I know if I need to keep avoiding milk stuff...I'm sure it does, but would like to know definitely.
So, spending today - Post Office, £6 - 3 ebay sales and a cd to my friend. I splashed out on a can of drink for lunch, 60p. Also paid the girls' cheerleading subs - were only due about 6 weeks ago, oh dear. There went £80:mad: DD1 is quitting in February after they've been in the yearly competition, so that'll save me lots. They've both been doing it for years - prob when dd1 was 4 and dd2 6ish...but eldest has had enough.
Ex gave me a cheque for £300 yesterday:j He's dated it for Friday when he's paid so will be getting that in the bank then. That's £250 maintenance that he seems to have decided is my amount and £50 of presents for girls I sold him:D I think I'm going to say that from Jan I want £300 permonth and will give up with CSA - since going through them in March they have got me the grand total of nothing off him. If I hadnt wanted to go through them in june+July I could have had cash off him, but no I said lets go thro CSA and I get naff all...hopeless:mad:
Anyway, I'm so tired - off for an early night...with the rain battering the windows.I really need to sort out a new signature!0
