:rotfl: You guys! :rotfl:
:o:o
I appear to have exited the zone. My birthday is in a week, and I always tend to struggle a bit between Xmas and my birthday. And doubly so when its serious studying time  I am continuing to post on here in the hope that I might get back on track sooner, and not get sooo far behind the waggon that I can't actually see it any more!Besides, I have given up another forum which I am an avid reader of (too much time spent addicted to there rather than working) so I have to have something to look forward to!
Thanks blackberryrum, I don't usually eat sugarfree sweets and chewing gum, but you reminded me I do actually have some gum, so will get munching on that in an attempt to be a bit less synful :T Normally I recoil in horror at the thought of the falseys in coloured and sugar free stuff, but this argument is null and void if I'm spending my time eating chocolate instead:rotfl:
...besides, aren't they a bit laxative if consumed in high quantities? That could have an interesting slimming consequence...
Food diary today...
Alpen light bar
half a chese scone with butter
Dyno soup
Cheese sandwich on white cheesey bread
Fibre Plus bar

Ok - I am back
I have been pouring over books and forums and websites for the last couple of days and my head is buzzing
I have put together a menu for today and wonder if anyone would look over it and see where I have gone wrong.
1st mistake was buying lean mince for lunch on a green day doh!
Anyway - here goes.
Breakfast - Alpen Light bar (HEX?) - very poor I know but just not in the zone yet nor had I got me head round it fully.
yes 2 alpen lights are a HEB
Why not follow this with some chopped fruit and a mullerlight yogurt or a couple of grapefruit perhaps ? I typically have a hi fi bar for brekkie as I am not a fan of breakfast but a hi fi bar isn't enough for me and if I go to work without my fruit then I find myself falling off the wagon with a visit to the newsagent for something naughty...
Lunch - Swede topped cottage pie (lean mince with carrot, onion, peas and swede) 9 syns per portion
how has this worked out at 9 syns a portion ? is it because you are not using extra lean mince ? This is not a recipe I would cook but I am sure there must be a synfree version somewhere ?
ETA or is it because you are having a green day today ?
Dinner - Jacket potato with baked beans - free
mmmmmmmmm
why not add some salad ?
Snacks will be fruit including grapes and a banana.
try to include fruit that has the little "s" and "ss" symbols against them. These food items are lower in energy density than your grapes / bananas - so fine to eat your grapes and bananas - variety is the key but include the "s" and "ss" items also and you will have to eat less to feel just as full. page 7 in my sw book explains it better !
Total for day - 9 syns - unless anyone else knows better
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who can help - I am not above thinking that I know everything - yet
Just been browsing through the book
If I add cheese to the jacket potato then I could count that as a HEa and still syn free?
If following a green day then you can have two healthy A options which means one can be used for your milk and one to have some cheese on your spud.
and 2 ryvitas with laughing cow light small triangles as
HEb?
You can have two alpen lights for a HEB option or syn per bar at 3 syns so depending on whether you syn the bar you ate at breakfast or enjoy another one today (making it one of your HEB) then you enjoy some ryvita as your other HEB option
With your laughing cows - you would need to syn this if you have cheese on your spud and used your other A option for milk or have it as your A option if you don't drink milk
Hi
I have posted my comments above.0 -
Afternoon all
I'm feeling smug as I'm just back from the gym5th bit of exercise this week :j
I popped to Tesco earlier and they have offer on Activa yogurts - 2 x 8packs of yogurt for £3. They are £2.90 each normally so this is fabthere are 2 different fat free ones to chose from, berries and exotic.
I also picked up the Sunday Telegraph (£1.90) as there is a free workout DVD with it.
I'll post my meals later as I've not decided on tea yet
Hope you are all doing well

the one thing that I struggle with on the Extra Easy plan. i find it hard to include the superfree veg element. If you love extra easy, how do you manage / does anyone have any tips for me ?[/QUOTE]
Hi Eric, the only way I am getting round to having enough superfrees is to put out an enormous bowl of fruit in the morning, and eat my way through it as the day goes on. Then, I have tomatoes and cucumber, which I love, and could eat for England, on the side when I make a meal. Because I have had stomach surgery and can't keep much down, I have to restrict quantity, and eat little and often.
I learnt SW doing green days, and I miss the extra HEs too, though I still have them as snacks and syn them.0 -
Quick post as am really under the weather today [IBS] feel really bloated and bunged up [not 'been' since Friday,TMI sorry
] am hoping this is the reason for lb gain today. Didn't WI til 2.30pm as felt so rubbish, also haven't had anything to eat and only had a glass of movicol to help move things along
. Hate feeling this rough
By the way noticed Tesco have fibre plus at buy 2 get 3rd free, still £1.89 [ouch] each though. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Schwartz slow Cookers Beef & Tomato Casserole Mix, dried, 40g sachet 6
Schwarts slow Cookers, Chicken Curry Recipe Mix, dried, 33g sachet 4½
Schwarts Slow Cookers, Chicken in Red Wine Recipe Mix, dried, 35g sachet 6
Schwarts Slow Cookers, Sausage & Bean Casserole Mix, dried, 35g sachet 5½
