Felt like I'd fallen in the pit earlier and was hanging on by my fingernails, had complete melt down gaah.gif [lots of tears].
Later made a lovely rice pud and while serving some to son he didn't put golden syrup back in cupboard properly and it fell out and into pud and scalded my hand badly. Had another meltdown gaah.gif [many more tears] then slept for rest of afternoon.
Feel bit better and have managed to haul myself back out of the pit.
Upside is have stayed on plan, weetabix, rice pud, fruit & yog so far so fingers crossed a better evening than last few days.

Thanks for the comments I know I'm not the only one going through a rough patch and I'm sorry if I'm depressing anyone with my problems but it helps to get it off my chest.
    Thanks for 'listening' toyou.gifthankyou.gif

I'd have had to lick some of that golden syrup up ... it's been over a year since I ate golden syrup (*goes all thoughtful*) - Takeiteazy, don't worry about us, sometimes it's easier to "speak" to virtual mates like us than to real mates, I think. And as someone said, most of us have lost someone so we can empathise. I think they are still with us keeping an eye out for us in between partying with their friends who went before :A

I had faggots today. And mushy peas. And onion gravy. And mash. It all came on one plate, as listed on the menu. It wasn't my fault. Apart from the onion there was NO superfree in there at all, good job I had raspberries and melon for breakfast and have just eaten an apple; maybe salad later for supper. The only other thing I fancied on the menu said "with vegetables" and I suspected that might be carrots so didn't chance it. And anyway *gloats* since I am at target I'm allowed a bit of leeway, heehee. It's fab being at target and well worth a year of watching everything I eat. Come on chaps, if you are not on the wagon then you have to RUN ALONGSIDE so jump on and stay on :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

I for one am glad to read your posts - I'm with you all the way TakeItEazy.
    I read this recently:

At least we are guaranteed a "nuzzle" here!

Evening all, hugs to all who are struggling in any way!

I've been on a jewellery making course today....in a FREEZING cold workshop!!! I ended up eating a blimming shortbread biscuit, so annoyed with myself!! Then had 2 ryvita with philly that I hadn't planned and needed 8 syns for tea so I'm deffo well over today! I'm sticking to 5 syns max for the next few days until WI and I'll only be using them if I need them for meals....no sweets or choccy!!

I must tell you guys about a book I bought after reading a thread on 'old style'. It's called 'The Takeaway Secret' and its AMAZING!!!! Some of the recipes are dangerous on SW but some can be adapted very slightly and are fine for us. Tonight we had donner kebabs with WM pittas, garlic sauce, chilli sauce, salad and SW chips, all on plan! Just a shame about the extras I had during the day!

    Soooooo:

    Brekkie - melon, pineapple, yogurt
    Snack - shortbread (7?)
Lunch - WM pitta (HEB), lean bacon, tiny bit of LF mayo (1), lettuce, toms, cucumber, melon, pineapple
Snack - 2 ryvita with philly light (4+2?)
Tea - HM donner meat, WM pitta (6), SW chips, sauces (2), salad

So thats 22 syns, only saving grace is there's lots of superfree in there, Actually, could nearly call it success express then I could have the second pitta as another HEB and cut the syns down by 6!!!

well well well, what do I know? Learn summat every day, hope the little bird makes it,he's probably better off "in care" with this snow around!

I thought it was too early as well blackberry, it's why I was so confused in the first place. Had it been late spring then I'd have know what I was dealing with. DS is happy it's being looked after, he's a real animal lover :D.

takeiteasy no need to apologise, if it helps to 'talk' about things on here then go for it xx Make sure you keep an eye on that burn, they can turn nasty ! (says she who left it 3 days before going to the docs with a blister the size of a tennis ball on her ankle due to a burn :o)

  • I'm hoping to start sw this week and wondering how my easiyo yogurt will fit in with this? I've read through a lot of posts on here and muller yogurts seem to get mentioned a lot but we get through a lot of easiyo and I don't want to have to switch to muller yogurts!

    Thanks in advance

    Anna x

Btw, the l/f greek yogurt we have is 66cals per 100g and 0.9g sat fat, and fruit yogurt is 97cals per 100g and 1.4g sat fat.

    Hi emma

    welcome to the thread :D

Ive had a look on sw syns online, but it doesnt list the ham? if you could post the nutritional info It can be put through the syn calculator manually.

if you look on the 1st page of this thread there is a recipe link that might help you with some things to make. I do recommend the fruit roulade for only 1/2 syn for the whole lot ;) and the quiche is yummy

    Hi Dizzy,
Thanks for replying and welcoming me, sorry its taking so long to reply. I will try and post the info for the ham tomorrow, please can you tell me which bits you need to know.
I had a i go at a quiche the other day and I used quark instead of cottage cheese as I didn't like the idea of the lumps and also I only really like the pineapple cottage cheese and you have to syn that. 2 questions about the quiche, 1 - if you use cottage cheese do the lumps dissapear, or do they stay and 2 - the one I made had the potato base and I added bacon, mushroom and onion, it was rather nice, tasted better once it had been in the fridge overnight, when it was warm it tasted more like an omlette (is this normal), but the question is, does anyone else find that the potato and onion go a funny grey colour once it has been in the fridge? I tasted nice, just looked a bit odd, and if i'm gonna put it out for party food it might put people off!!
    Any help appreciated. :D

    Evening gang,

Here's a big squishy hug for anyone who needs one right now smiliebighug.gif
Life can be tough sometimes, but it's good to know we can find a place, even if a virtual one, to share how we're feeling.

Well it absolutely hissed it down here all day, and was blooming miserable. That left me with no inclination to leave the house, and feeling after a couple of hours sat on my bum in the lounge in need of justifying my existence, and getting up to do something. I tidied up the utility room, which still looks a bit of a mess, but it'll need redecoration to sort that out further (and maybe knocking a wall down wouldn't go amiss)!! Then after that i got it into my head to move all the furniture around in the smallest boys' room. Youngest boy helped me, and between us we spent the next 5 hours doing that. I now feel shattered, but the room looks much better. They have the smallest room in the house, but the most stuff. I keep threatening to move the older 2 into that room, but they don't exactly get on particularly well at the best of times, so think for peace and sanity, things will stay as they are (fingers crossed eldest finally goes to uni in 18 months... should have been last yr).

Soooo, food has been OK surprisingly. Could have been so much worse, as I feel my chocolate craving is starting in anticipation of * next week. I'll have to work that into my plan for the next few days, and I have some fruit & nut chocolate left from Christmas to help :D

    Food today : EE

B - WW fruit layer yogurt (1 syn), banana
L - bacon, eggs, 2 sliced nimble [heb], baked beans, tomato
D - Chinese style pork stead (6 syns... rather surprised at that!), baked potato, lf spread (1 syn), coleslaw (1 syn), baked beans
snacks - plain sponge (4 syns)
    milk in teas [hea]

Right, want to go to bed, but just waiting for OH to bid on something on ebay that doesn't finish until almost midnight. Usually he's telling me to switch off the laptop at 10pm wanting to go to bed... typical huh? Night night all xx
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
