Mse usually give a time but none is mentioned.I'm back at work tomorrow & we have an internet ban on so my postings will be down :-(

I've noticed the last few times they usually say for one hour at a specific time but this just says the 15th.

Can't imagine it will be for more than a few hours though (hopefully). :)

    Hi all,

I noticed that there is a statement saying the forum will be down today.

Just wondered if anyone can shed some light as to how long for and when this will begin?

I'm desperately squeezing in as many as I can before the lock down (clearly I have a problem...lol). :)

Hi,hope it's ok just for me to add a bit.I think all the BG staff are valued but I tend to pm any merges to either Dalkirst or Glad as I find that they are online more plus they tend to promptly sort them.
The merge would not be such an issue if each member who posted a dupe "killed " the link & edited the title when the dupe was spotted.By kill the link I mean overwrite it with such as "DUPE DUPE" so that anyone clicking it gets nowhere.Duplicating an entry from that post is not then possible.I now follow this when I have posted a duplicate.
that's a good idea to stop people being disqualified from a comp, as some will click the link and try to enter before reading the thread and seeing a 'dupe' post, it would depend on the OP being online and checking the thread :)

generally I'm online the following times
weekdays - I usually check my pm's about 8am and check the board for titles with the wrong format, sometimes I can check in the day if I'm not busy, evenings I'll have the laptop on from 6pm until bedtime :D I always have a tab open to my emails and whatever I'm doing I'll get a popup and noise when I get an email so can check if it's a pm notification from mse, if I do actually go out  my green light won't be on :p
weekends - if I'm at home the laptop is on :D

merges take seconds to do so don't worry how many you send (I really don't mind, but it helps if people say which is the dupe in the pm :)) and just wanted to say publically that I really appreciate the thanks and nice comments in the pm's and sorry if I don't reply to them all :o

    Glad x

Is 'Likeability' done by thread views or thanks now? It's made it harder to pick out good competitions :(

It may be views and/or thanks, but crikey - a page on the main board now has all 20 threads with a likeability rating and over half are rated 5.

I have asked the question on the thread for problems after the downtime HERE

It's gone from mine. Bit of a pain as it made it easier to pick out magazine, cash, car, games console & home cinema system competitions when trawling through the pages.
