is that the ff 4 beta? i knew windows came in 32 and 64 after i d/l the wrong version of something when i got this laptop lol but didnt realise anything else did, thought it was just compatibility....spot the clueless one here :rotfl:
There have been 64bit versions of Firefox available for ages now albeit in beta form they are available from the link below, I think that I'm right in saying that Firefox 4 will be the first official 64bit (non beta) version
http://wiki.mozilla-x86-64.com/Firefoxownload
the only reason that I don't use Firefox 64 bit is that Roboform doesn't work with 64 bit browsers
flash also wouldn't work with 64bit browsers at first so the 64 bit browser wasn't any good for comping
flash now have a 64bit version so it's just Roboform that's the problem now!
64bit computers and software will soon be the norm and 32 bit computers will fall by the wayside
next stop will be 128bit computers which are already being developed and there is already talk of Windows 8 or 9 being developed for 128bit operating systems
think you maybe right about the new Roboform being a trial version I seem to remember that I used it for a while but when I was asked for an extra payment I reverted back to the old version0 -
This comp was originally posted on main twice (see posts #1 & #2) before being moved to regs.
Reason nobody has duped is because apart from the excellent Zenmaster (keep up the good work!) nobody knows the answers!
It's interesting that usually less than 30 people thanked each week on regs, but after THIS POST on main the thanks jumped up to 142.
ill hunt down some other examples later if i can be bothered
and yes of course the thanks jumped up, people already struggle to get through all the posts on main no matter how they comp, and many CHOOSE to ignore the regular comps that exist no matter where they are posted, if they are on main and bumped many only enter them once. posting them by linking to regs means people who dont normally go anywhere other than main get to see them and enter them and also means the people who update the reg threads get the thanks as well as the person who posts it on main if not the same and means we dont enter more than allowed  thats what andrea asked us to do but
1. its only being done largely on comps that have been ongoing in regs for ages and there are complaints about any others whereby the same criteria are applied
2. people dont like that idea because it creates more threads on main even though having had them posted as new each time still meant more posts on main,:o
3. many of the threads that were picked up and posted on main each time started of as reg threads but then got taken and posted by other people duplicating the updated post so the original poster gave up posting. which is where my repeated questions of why is it acceptable to dupe a comp if its only on regs come up and have yet to be answered0 -

 Thanks for raising the profile of this comp - I never knew it existed until now, so that's one to pop in my "Weekly" favourite's folder :A.Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
purplecatlover wrote: »why is it that comps like that no one has complained about them being regulars, or duped them on main because its not fair to people who dont bother going near the regs board or stickies to miss out buy it not being on main
In my case, because I genuinely didn't know this comp existed, hidden away as it is on regs
If I had known, I'd have been looking for it each week to enter it
!
yet the likes of the hello comp, or quite a few other comps, which has a new weekly end date and new weekly prize or new weekly answer  it seen as acceptable and even necessary to dupe it on main and the op in the ongoing thread is seen as expired and out of date (it was only edited to exclude the expired comp's details yesterday, so WAS "Expired and out of date!") and asking for it to be posted exactly the same way causes such annoyance?
Again, I can only answer from my own, humble point of view, but the Hello comp was always on the main board before, and we got used to it being there. With it's definite end date, separate question and prize, it seemed the logical place, even before the poll result agreed.
I began posting it over a year ago when the previous poster stopped and it's only very recently its status as a separate comp has been challenged.
i really dont understand the difference so would be grateful if someone would explain pleaseWhile we're confessing to puzzlement, I don't understand the difference between the Hello comp and the Celebrity Angels ones which have never been removed to Regs? The argument that Hello has the same URL and a new comp begins as the old one expires also applies to C.A.- but please don't let this be an invitation to move them too tho' :rotfl:!
ill understand if everyone wants to just ignore me though :rotfl:Was tempted to ignore this, but not in a rude / mean way
. Simply because I don't want to upset anyone / provoke any rows.
But then I thought, if it's a genuine question, it deserves a genuine reply...

my point was that other threads, also with an old prize or question in the op are not seen as expired and are not complained about being out of date...why not?
so had you seen the weekly that zenmaster updates every week sooner you would have duped it on main then? why is that acceptable? its still a dupe....which is what i, and others have repeatedly asked and still no answer:rotfl:
if a new end date means a new thread, then almost all the comps in regs need posting every single day or week or month on main  we need to apply the same rules to ALL comps not just those that some people are not interested enough in or havent noticed to dupe
there is plenty of opportunity to check the stickies and/or reg board for new additions to add to favourite folders or however one does them, its choice to not bother doing so rather than them being hidden away in private to stop people finding them0 -
I know i've won some Grants whisky glasses & missed a delivery today from dhl would that be them? Just i enter loads & win very little so wishing its something else if someone could put me out of my misery as its tomorrow before dhl redeliver...Thanks in advance..0

DHL delivered mine today:)0
-
Can't be sure of course but when I won Grant's glasses I seem to remember it was DHL who made the delivery
and as you usually get either a WEM or phone call if you win something I would think it is probably your glasses....which are very nice
Thanks to all OP's your efforts are much appreciated :A0 -
I still haven't received mine from December! But I won again in January so hoping I get 2 sets when they arrive...0
