I wondered if the regular compers allowed Robofrom to save this information therefor not needing to go through the signing in to each website everytime?
Yup, I save all my comping passwords, it's fine.
    Thank you all who post.

All that is saved on my Roboform is comp related.I do not use it for banking or my non comping email address. My password on most of the comp sites is the same anyway.I save forms as well to help fill the trickier ones quicker.

I can't find any comps ending today on the main board

I've sorted by thread title and paged through but goes from 14/xx to 15/03

Does anyone know why they have been sent to game over before they are over?
    Is it deliberate?

Why do the competitions keep getting moved to game over on the actual day that they are ending? I tend to be doing them on the actual end date right now and cannot get ahead of myself as I have to spend hours trawling through game over (which doesn't sort them into strict date order so all the years are mixed together). 95% of these competitions don't actually end until 2359h, so it seems a bit strange to move them when they are still live? I am sure that there is a really good reason that I cannot think of - can anyone enlighten me?

some days they dont get moved until a few days after the day they end, others its early in the morning of the day they end. most of the time divadee moves them the day they end (its been said a few times its diva who does the game overing) often in the morning :p as has been said though its when she has time, though i dont know why its only her who does it, nor why they cant be moved the day after they finish when they are mostly moved every day now:A

even if i had not done E:15/02 yesterday id ignore them today, and move on to E:16/02 cause i hate to be half way through and they all get moved to go and i really hate attempting to trawl for them in go :rotfl:

thats partly why i try and get through them at the latest the day before they end, so this evening i will do E: 19/02. that way hopefully those ones wont move until after ive finished with them. the other reason for being at least a day ahead is that frequently comps are posted with E: 19/02 but will actually end as soon as that day starts ie. at midnight tonight, others end at 6am, 9am noon or 5pm so i found i missed loads even when they did stay on main until late the day they ended :(

ive taken to posting any that end very early in here in hopes that a few end date people will see them in time to not have missed them

    hello all,

came across a baby facebook comp that i wanted to share but wasnt quite sure which thred to put itin.. any help?

is it a one off entry? or a daily/weekly/more than a few entries? if its one off, it just goes on main like all comps but with facebook or fb in the title for those who skip fb comps out :)

if its a regular but ends on a set date overall (as opposed to each day, week or month being a new end date as most of these have no known permanent end date or a lot of the ongoing daily and weekly threads meet criteria of new prize and new answer = new thread needed and new end date so they would all need posting on main every day too  ) then it goes on main but a link needs adding to the end of the appropriate sticky in regs board :)

if its an ongoing regular with no known overall end date then it goes on regs board, needs linked in the appropriate sticky and can be posted on main using a link to the thread on regs which will be updated with new details if anything like prize or question changes :)
i have been entering competitions for my sister in her name and address (towards her wedding fund!) and also for me in my name and address......obviously this would mean that both are entered in the same IP address. do you think that matters?? they are in different addresses???!
i have entered and won comps on behalf of other people before, some (like dunk last year) i verify with promoter that its ok to enter for them, others i just enter. i figure if they refuse to give the prize ive not lost anything because i didnt have it to start with, and if one of my friends or family wins then great :D
tis only the odd comp i can be bothered to enter for anyone else though, mostly its enough effort and time to enter myself :rotfl:

Moving comps into game over early means that some members miss the opportunity to win prizes - do you really think that is prefererable to the " annoyance" of competitions ending today still being on the main board?

its annoying when they hang around for a few days, but i dont see why it is annoying when they hang around until the very next day..though admitedly i have had a few pms just after midnight or in the early hours telling me a comps expired even though its only been a few hours since the end of the end date was hit :rotfl: so i can see diva not wanting to be moaned at by many for them still being there just after midnight, and i dont blame her for not sitting here ready to move them all the second it turns to midnight and they become expired, so though its annoying for us end daters and i really dont understand why them being on main for a few hours, or half a day, or even until the next evening  is a problem i do understand them being moved early.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I have been using Roboform for the past year. When I log in to web sites roboform has a pop up that offers to svae these details. As i am still quite wary of what is saved and what is not, I wondered if the regular compers allowed Robofrom to save this information therefor not needing to go through the signing in to each website everytime?

Am I just being over cautious?

I create a different password of 14 characters for each new comp site and any with sensitive information I create 2 passwords a master password and a site password 25 characters long with a bit strength of 150 and use Roboforms built in mouse keyboard to enter the master password so that if my system was compromised by a "Key Logger" they wouldn't be able to glean the master password via my entering keystrokes

same here, i dont save banking details, and my emails go to outlook and wind up getting changed every time i need to log in via web because ive forgotten password :rotfl:

i save everything in robo, entry forms for daily comps get saved if they need more than a click on my name and click of enter, passwords to everywhere, entry forms for some other sites..all the ipc media ones eg where the ticky boxes are a pita :)

for some reason it wont fill on telegraph, itv and umm a few other sites.....form stack ones i think......anyone got it filling them in properly?

speaking of robo its been updated and has gone all shiny and new and faster! i only noticed because i was hunting for help with the chrome toolbar and it d/l and installed in ff too.

sorry for bringing this up again but i have a question....
this thread has been ongoing for ages, updated every week with a new answer and anew end date for that weeks competition each week:cool:. it has a very specific end date, but there is no overall end date and its been classed (rightly imo but hey ho) as a regular, which zenmaster has very kindly posted on main this week (using amiluckys template) as well as updating the reg thread as normally does :A
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2380065

why is it that comps like that no one has complained about them being regulars, or duped them on main because its not fair to people who dont bother going near the regs board or stickies to miss out buy it not being on main yet the likes of the hello comp, or quite a few other comps, which has a new weekly end date and new weekly prize or new weekly answer  it seen as acceptable and even necessary to dupe it on main and the op in the ongoing thread is seen as expired and out of date and asking for it to be posted exactly the same way causes such annoyance?

i really dont understand the difference so would be grateful if someone would explain please :)
ill understand if everyone wants to just ignore me though :rotfl:

i did pm andrea again the other day asking her to please come and clarify and post some official guidelines or to come and change it to a trial of posting everything on main as a new thread each time there is an end date change, which would include all the daily prize draws too:eek: but thats what people seem to want no matter how crazy i personally think that is so for the sake of peace i would rather try it that way than carry on with how it is now and was before with it being dependant largely on who posts the comp whether it is classed as a reg or not :(

I must admit the new version is very good but if you purchased Roboform before September 2010 there is a charge to upgrade to the full version and as version 6 still works without any problems I decided that the extra fee just wasn't worth it

I'm am still waiting for them to bring out a 64bit version (which is supposedly being developed) so that I can use the latest 64bit Firefox which is noticeably faster than 32 bit but unfortunately Roboform only works with 32 bit browsers at present :(

does that mean ive only downloaded a trial version then and will be asked to pay again in a month?
is that the ff 4 beta? i knew windows came in 32 and 64 after i d/l the wrong version of something when i got this laptop lol but didnt realise anything else did, thought it was just compatibility....spot the clueless one here :rotfl:

This comp was originally posted on main twice (see posts #1 & #2) before being moved to regs.

Reason nobody has duped is because apart from the excellent Zenmaster (keep up the good work!) nobody knows the answers!

It's interesting that usually less than 30 people thanked each week on regs, but after THIS POST on main the thanks jumped up to 142.
