what's the current way of posting ongoing weekly comps?
I have one to post that's not on here.
It's a sign up once newsletter where once signed up, you are entered into the weekly Wednesday draw.
i.e. where do I post (main board?) how shall I do the title, i.e. "E: Ongoing Win a nice prize (Weekly)"
I find these ones quite hard because they are enter once but need to be here so people that miss it the first time round can enter later.
I'm probably wrong so maybe wait for someone that knows better but I would post in regulars something like:
E: WEEKLY (ONGOING) Win xxxx (once off newsletter sign up)
and then link it into the weekly sticky in regulars.
Good luck, xx0 -

I think your probably right beffffff. If there's no End Date, it shouldn't go on the main board.0 -
I posted in the wrong board
silly me, miss read beffffff's post :-(
Darren has posted on the thread, so I guess he'll move in when he's back online.
Or, should I post in regulars, then update thread on main boad to link to the one on the regulars?0 -

It's OK it's probably how I write 'cos it happens all the time :rotfl:.
I'd leave it how it is and a BG will move it0 -
Re this post https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/40898588#Comment_40898588 as per the current trial
If there are any changes needed to make it more usable please let me know. I'm not getting drawn into any arguements about whether it's a good idea or not because I'm tying to move forward but will make changes to the OP that help people not click it if they don't want to. I though (NEW LINK TO EXISTING REGULAR THREAD) in the title may help point out it was a link not a comp as that was one comment I saw from the original small trial. I'm open to suggestions though, within reason
Just posted so people can try it in anger, and so more people could see the comp because as suggested a lot less people see things on regulars.....0 -
Hope you don't mind me popping in to ask a quick question!
Do compers tend to have a Facebook account just for comping? (e.g. 'First Name' MSE 'Last Name) I'm getting a little paranoid I'm entering a lot of Facebook competitions and its probably annoying my friends.October Wins: £100 photobook voucher, sippy cup and booster seat.0 -

id have done the same.
im beginning to think we could do with a separate sticky for these type of comps, maybe split into weekly and monthly within that.....so all those that are really only meant to be enter once for either every draw or the next draw after you subscribed can be together and checked reguallry so none get missed and then those that its possible to unsub and resub to be entered again can be done if you choose to do so iyswim.Re this post https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/40898588#Comment_40898588 as per the current trial

i like it being identified somehow in the title, the *R* tag or the use of the word regular incorportated somehow works well imoBellaWella wrote: »Hope you don't mind me popping in to ask a quick question!

many do, some dont. my friends who were not interested simply hid me from their newsfeed and just checked my profile regularly. it is against fb terms to have two accounts, also to use a fake name...but many get away with doing both.0 -

I agree they would be best separated from 'normal' regulars as its annoying to try and enter every month/week only to be told "you have already entered". Don't forget your daily 'Enter Once Only (Early entry recommended as there are multiple draws)' section are effectively the equivalent of these weekly/monthly comps, and it works well in dailies having them in their own section within the existing sticky. The same solution could be applied to monthly/weekly enter once only comps.0 -

I have, and so have lots of others on here. There's a thread somewhere, but I'm just on my way out. Will try and find it later.0 -

a few of those in my enter early list are actually weekly/monthly/quarterly draws as well as dailies atm, just seemed easier to have them in one place than all over, though a couple are deff also linked in the other stickies as normalthey are all literally enter once only and your entered forever more (or until the comp ends). ill keep adding those ones to the list as i come across them/get told about them..unless you have to check the sites regularly to claim if you win as then they are not enter and forget about :rotfl:that way can see and enter them as they are added each day or however often you check for new links in there iyswim
btw guessedenddate is working fab now, where its all one word and not separatedthank you
