This thread really takes the biscuit!

Alice, other than a refund + some, what were you expecting from Asda?

    LOL, brilliant.

I can assure you I do not work for ASDA. I just think you are making far to much out of something so trivial.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

  • lol,

At the risk of stating the plain obvious..didnt you think to *check* the BB date *before* you put them in your basket/trolley?

On top of all that !!!!!! is the fuss about? They offered you a refund plus some, you refused!

    Geez!!!
  • Got to be a troll :) I could understand feeling a bit peeved if they had sold you 5 months out of date meat, but inadvertent selling of some out of date biscuits, think the £3 was more than fair.

On Wednesday I purchased a Box of Biscuits to cheer my Daughter up, they were £2.40 so not cheap or reduced from ASDA on giving them to her she noticed they were 5 MONTHS out of date. I returned them the next day, to be greeted by oh we will give you a refund. If they reaction had been omg that's terrible I would have been happy, but just a oh then offering me £3 when I said I was not happy did not do it. I told them to keep their £3. They do not seem to grasp the 5 MONTHS bit, any suggestions.

Perhaps the staff thought you were CRACKERS?
  • Personally I think the shop assistant should have been so shocked and concerned at this box of biscuits being a few months out of date by committing Hari-Kari and throwing herself onto a sword.

The whole store staff should have been rounded up and flogged to within an inch of thiir lives.

I mean it's the least the OP could expect for such a devastating and life-ruining event.
  • Seems the OP no longer has an opinion?

We disagree with your actions which were rather idiotic so surely we work for ASDA?:rotfl:

For goodness sake, it was a packet of biscuits, ASDA offered you a refund and you stupidly refused it because they didn't make a huge deal over it. Cry us a river and get over it.
I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.
