Compared to some of the things in my kitchen cupboard 5 months out of date is nothing!
Most tinned food is good for many many years after its best before date apparently, not tried it myself mind you.
Shops make mistakes, it happens get over it and be glad it was a harmless mistake.0 -
Thousands in compensation I suspect
With the intelligence of some people I really wouldn't be suprised...
I would of took the refund and an apology and gone on my way. It's not worth getting upset or making a huge fuss over a £3 pack of biscuits. ASDA offered a acceptable solution to the problem so take it and get on with your life.I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

On Wednesday I purchased a Box of Biscuits to cheer my Daughter up, they were £2.40 so not cheap or reduced from ASDA on giving them to her she noticed they were 5 MONTHS out of date. I returned them the next day, to be greeted by oh we will give you a refund. If they reaction had been omg that's terrible I would have been happy, but just a oh then offering me £3 when I said I was not happy did not do it. I told them to keep their £3. They do not seem to grasp the 5 MONTHS bit, any suggestions.
You don't believe that they did what most people would expect to be the decent and honorable thing?
Maybe you thought they'd refuse? Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0
