They do not seem to grasp the 5 MONTHS bit.
As others have stated it's yourself that doesn't grasp the 5 months bit, biscuits do not have a useby only a best before date, although i still doubt Asda wanted to sell them with that date on, obviously something that's been missed or a random case with a short best before date has been sent to store, boxes of biscuits i doubt will be high priority for date checking due to the long dates they have.0 -

The "massive problems" some peple have around here makes you wonder how people with real problems cope....0

In uk, there are 2 types of dates:
Use by Date
Best before date
A use by date is always specified as a specfific day, after which it must not be sold, and should not be consumed. (stuff like meat, daily products etc)
A best before date may be a particular month, rather than date, such as ‘August 2007′.
It’s not actually illegal to sell a product past it’s best before date, and is often done, however, it IS illegal to remove, obscure or change the date.
In additon, there is legislation which states that food must be fit for consumption, and it is often the case that food past it’s best before date is no longer fit for consumption....“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Well I think the OP is exaggerating the issue abit.
The OP must be happy with the biscuits if they refused £3 refund, So i dont see the big deal.0 -
