Hi Jamie,
How are you?
I'm sure save a lot didn't mean for it to be spam, prob just trying to be helpful?! Would it count as spam if it is linking to a page on the forum??
How close are you to joining us now?[0 -

Hi all !!
JD - Not long until you are over here !! I remember you from the DFW board - luckily I have pulled myself out of that now and I am having fun saving.
MSW - Your signature looks good !! We are having a kitchen fitted in a few weeks - I am dreading it but guess it will be worth it in the end.
Woodyrocks - Hows it going hun !! This is our 3rd - we wasn't going to have anymore but Christmas 2005 I had an Heterotopic pregnancy and lost both twins (no idea it was twins) and ended up having surgery on Boxing Day - during surgery I had to be resucitated twice and have 2 blood transfusions - this made us realise how short life is and how much we really want another baby so we went for it !!! I am addicted to Lime Cordial though !!!
Munken - Welcome !! I am new to this thread to - all seem a lovely friendly bunch though
Savingforoz - I don't know if I will be able to do the Olympic Challenge - not too good at things like that !! Will have another read of the rules later and see if I can get my head around it !! lol
Big hugs to everyone and hello to anyone I have missed.
Well today I have paid another £15.00 in to the savings account !! £10.00 from WFTC which went in today, another £3.00 from penny jars and £2.00 pinched from DH (he won't miss it !!)
This month is a nightmare month for us to start saving in really - MOT, Tax and Insurance all due this month
I am going to get on a cashback site to do the insurance through and then put the cash back in savings !! lol

Hi Jamie,
Well done that is brilliant!
£500 a month is loads as well ...you might even be able to get a few gadgets!
I would quite like a new tv for the new extension and was going to wait until we had paid everything off ....but.... they might have to put the wiring in the wall cos I'd quite like a plasma or similar so am working on other half on the basis that we would need to buy one so they could install it when rewiring the house!! Don't know if it will work on him tho! :rotfl:
I suppose I can still loiter around here when I have debts! Hopefully will be able to pay everything off in a year and then start saving again!
Well done again! :j[0 -
Hi Tashja,
Welcome and good luck with the kitchen!!
Sorry about the pregnancy thing -my sister had an ectopic last year and had to have surgery it is horrible! She also has a little boy tho now so it helps a bit! He is gorgeous!
My tax and mot used to come at the same time but I paid 6 mths tax to separate them and then went back to paying every 12 mths after that it might be worth considering as it does make it easier paying them at different times!
Good luck with the saving I am quite addicted now (although I have just been shopping at asda and bought quite a few new tops to wear, they were bargains tho at £4 a top
