I'm getting rather excited now that from December's pay, I will increase my monthly savings from £600 to £1000. This coincides with when I finish paying back a loan to my Mum.

Hope the £1k a month won't stretch me too much - think I might need to find some way of supplementing my income although running short of ideas now!

Still, on track for my £25k by the end of 2012 and this will fit perfectly with the £12k in 2012 Challenge which I'm hoping someone will be setting up!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread :o I've been reading with interest, can't believe the totals that some of you have managed to save  Well done to you all :j

I'm hoping as Ivm mentioned that someone might set up a £12k in 2012 thread, as we're wanting to go on a 3 week holiday to Australia at the end of 2013 and I'm also planning to take DH to Vegas for his 30th birthday the same year, so it will be an extremely expensive year for us so I was thinking of doing a similar challenge myself, but if there's going to be a thread for the same type thing I know I'll find it so much easier :o
